That's fair, but most of us don't want to watch a 30 minute video for 3-4 minutes of relevant content.

Didn't know you spoke for most of us but that's fair. Anyways, thought it was well done and thorough. Have you seen Doug Demuro and Raizi's rides? Way better than the ton of that crap. I mean if you want to talk about a bunch of dudes that can't drive or express a true driving experience, there you go. Plenty to see. They cant drive at all and talk about 30 minutes of nothing the brochure didn't cover...

Not sure how many were allotted but....

"Toyota sold 11,136 GR86 in 2022. (From Jan - Nov 2022)"

That seems off. When I looked up 2022 MY GRs and BRZ, they sold 8k for both.

Where did you look?

"Subaru sold 3,020 BRZ in 2022. (From Jan - Nov 2022"

I wouldn't call the 2022 BRZs rare but would say they were low production.

I'll be honest in that I don't remember. But I was speaking of MY, not total sales. Using just yearly sales mucks it up a bit since I have a 2023 that was sold in 2022.

Yes. My 2022 BRZ was sold in Dec 2021. The source i listed also says:

"Subaru sold 2,320 BRZ in 2021. In 2020, Subaru sold 2,267 BRZ. They sold 53 more units in 2021 compared to 2020 with a percent gain of 2.34% YoY."

and

"Toyota sold 109 GR86 in 2021."

@BRZ549 @OkieSnuffBox I was interested in allotment, as opposed to sales. But maybe allotment numbers are not available . . . ?

Thanks.

haha ok i actually quickly scanned through the vid just now I missed the part of the title where it actually said it was a review (thought it was one of those vids where its some guy who owned the car for like 6 months and wanted to make a video about it)

The good news is that it had some timestamps listed on the bottom of the vid so i can skip parts i dont care about.

And from that i discovered that half the vid is actual review, the other half seems more opinion filler stuff that may or may not be relevant to my attention.

Hell we have a vendor on here that constantly bumps like 4-5 different threads trying to sell Gen 2 fitment wheels all the time.

"Check out this new fitment" and it's the same specs, just a different color wheel or on a different car.

I youtube channel with nearly half a million subscribers would post links to videos in a low traffic forum to get views?

I finally took a look at this. Absolutely worth a watch, top shelf guy and production. It's funny how youtube etc. has modified our entertainment consumption habits and expectations.

I'm waiting to hear any day now that Toyota will throw these poor people a bone and allocate another batch. 400.. they might as well have not bothered. Actually obtaining one there would be a big deal if that's truly all they ever get. And it would have implications for tuners - obviously they shouldn't be expecting much new business coming their way courtesy of GR86 haha.

For US, I figured 12-15k GR86 for CY 2022, as production looked on track for the higher number as of summer. It seems like it tailed off quite a bit and they'll barely make the lower number. We can only guess what they have planed for 23 but if the 1st gen is an indication they will shoot to make just as many or more for NA.

I wouldn't know how many subscribers because I didn't click on it.

If you're in the market for a new vehicle, you may be wondering whether a used Toyota Tacoma or a Toyota Supra would be the better choice for you. While both of these vehicles have their own unique set of pros and cons, we believe that a used Toyota Tacoma is the better option for a number of reasons. First and foremost, the Toyota Tacoma is a reliable and durable pickup truck that is built to last. With a reputation for longevity and low maintenance costs, the Tacoma is the perfect vehicle for anyone who needs a dependable workhorse to get the job done. In contrast, the Toyota Supra is a sports car that is known for its high-performance capabilities and sleek design. While the Supra is certainly a fun vehicle to drive, it's not as practical for everyday use as the Tacoma. Another advantage of the Tacoma is its affordability. Used Tacomas are generally less expensive than used Supras, making them a more budget-friendly option for many buyers. Additionally, because the Tacoma is a more practical and utilitarian vehicle, it will likely retain its value better over time than a sports car like the Supra. The Tacoma also offers superior off-road capabilities. The Tacoma is a perfect vehicle for anyone who needs to navigate rough terrain or tackle a construction site. With its high ground clearance and four-wheel drive, the Tacoma can handle just about anything you throw at it. On the other hand, the Supra is a sports car and not meant for off-roading. Lastly, if you're looking for a used Toyota Tacoma, we recommend checking out https://abetter.bid/en/car-finder/ty...a/model-tacoma. This website has a wide selection of used Tacomas at competitive prices and you can find one that suits your needs and budget. In conclusion, while the Toyota Supra is certainly a fun vehicle to drive, it's not as practical or affordable as the Tacoma. If you're looking for a dependable workhorse, the Tacoma is the better choice. So, if you're in the market for a used Toyota, we recommend taking a closer look at the Tacoma.

I don't think that's why people dismissed Toyota.
It simply didn't have what car enthusiasts wanted in their lineup?
Except for what some considered a rebadged Subaru model; and in the US that didn't even have a Toyota badge on it.
That's what changed — now it covers more enthusiast market segments.

Few people dismiss Porsche for making Cayennes and Macans.
Make jokes about it? More people
