OEM subwoofer and trunkmat compatibility

I was just curious if anyones ever tried the OEM subwoofer with the Subaru rubber trunk tray, or the weathertech? I know both are not compatible with the subwoofer, but has anyone tried and made modificiations to either the tray or the subwoofer to make it fit? And whats needed to make it fit?

Just force it in. Over time it gets flexible.
You can alway cut out the top lip if you have girly arms.
