Basing my initial first impressions of the aesthetic, don't like the front, too squared off for me- not the worst looking front ever, just lacking some detailing, rear reminds me of a dodge charger/ mustang with the black bar connecting the lights.

Side shot looks alright (but reminds me of an 86 which is probably why it gets my bias).

Think if the front end had more shape, similar to the mx5 front end it'd look a bit better in my eyes, would at least look 370 nismo-ish.

I like the interior though.

I feel like the Z is disappointing just because it has potential to look great, but doesn't cut it for me. If this was a concept I'd be more exited but as it stands there're more things I like about the supra (the rear end/ side profile) than I do the Z which looks too generic. Like a combination of a bunch of different 2 door coupes with nothing unique to set itself apart aesthetically

To me the rear looks great but the rest is just a 370z
Twin turbo V6 sounds great if it happens

I like it.

It makes the Zupra look like a Honda Civic inspired children's drawing.

It will cost a bomb here though, current model is around 55-60k aud, I can see this running at least 70-80k aud.

It is on my short list for sure.

Everything forward of the a Pillar looks like they forgot to complete the design. The side profile is OK but the front 3/4 and full on view needs serious attention, just so flat and lifeless. That said it does look very much like the current Nissan design language.

Here I was thinking it was a huge departure from their current designs. No V grille, no angular taillights, goofy headlights.... the interior doesn't look bad and at least they didn't go with the tablet on the dash design they're using now for the infortainment.

To me it looks better than every current Nissan and actually shows the innovation they claim they put in to every model. Just didn't quite hit the mark, and at it's core it's still a current nissan. Nissan just can't quite get there anymore unless you're looking for a cheap, disposable commuter car.

Yea, I suppose you are right when thinking about their mass market vehicles. I was really thinking only of their sportier cars which are just bland to me and suffer from this same A pillar forward lack of inspiration.

Who says they haven't tried? Your list of wants just is not feasible no matter how "easy" people think it would be.
Getting a Porsche level car at a Corolla price would be sweet but just not reality.

Just pop some fog lights (or GASP fake vents) into that blank space under the headlights and all would be good. It just looks like something is missing with just the lights and grill up front.

That's quite a speculation, lol. A garbage spec 370 is 31k. You really think they'll drop a new model in at lt1 Camaro pricing?

The 2022 400Z will go on sale in USA in Spring 2021

Article: https://www.400zclub.com/forum/threa...ring-2021.104/

Lucky guys. It doesn't sound like it's being sold outside of US and Asia for now.
