Regarding GR86 specific fitments, we have a road map of the fitments we plan to offer and are just waiting for our engineers to work their magic and figure out exactly what's possible. We hope to have gen 2 specific direct fit and track oriented setups in our Forged VS-5RS model by the end of 2022 if all goes smoothly.

We also have continued testing and compiling data on what's needed to make the current 17x9" ET42 fitment work on the new chassis. Here's a summary of our findings:

Up front, inner clearance is reduced by about the same amount as the old TRD or performance package sachs struts were so a 5mm spacer minimum is needed up front with stock suspension and the 17x9" ET42 wheel. The 17x9" ET35 would be more ideal up front if sticking with stock suspension, however in back the track has been widened and the room behind the rear fender is slightly decreased. We have seen the 17x9" ET42 work with a 245/40-17 tire, however negative camber is needed depending on the exact tire used. Somewhere around -2.5 degrees minimum will be needed and something like a Hoosier R7b would just need a higher offset wheel or at least a healthy amount of rear fender shaving.

The 17x9" ET42 is a good option if adding negative camber in back and using coilovers to gain front inner clearance. Alternatively, if sticking with stock suspension, a front spacer along with extended studs and added camber via crash bolts can work.

So essentially it can work, however you will need to run a front spacer with the stock suspension or move to coilovers and add negative camber in back via adjustable lower control arms.

The 17x9 +42 with 245/40 should be perfect with the bumper tab mod, which I really don't understand why people are so scared to do. It's a much better option than running sub-optimal camber just to fit a wheel/tire combo IMO. Check this example out of a bumper tab mod that keeps one mounting clip. You could fill it up with sealant to stop mud and dirt getting in the gap:

You guys are the only ones out there that offer two different offsets that when purchasing two of each, suit great both front and rear on the Gen 2 without needing spacers at all. The 17x9 +35 would be great for the front with some decent camber (unlike the rear, it's beneficial to add more negative camber up front).

Your stock levels aren't looking good. The only way to get 17x9 +35 front and +42 rear is to buy Satin Black. Do you have more coming in?

With that said, I understand there are certain tire compounds that run really wide that could benefit from a 10" wheel. If there is real demand, we are happy to pursuit it!

Or a 18x10 +40 like 949 racing ran on their car. XXR made a wheel but I can find a set to save my life.

18x10" makes a bit more sense to me considering there is really good tire availability in 265/35-18, and that size can really warrant 10" wheels.

Personally, I'd run a 17x10 on a 1st gen. I don't know enough about the 2nd gen to understand if they have more or less room for tires.

I am aware that you offer a 17x9.5", I have my arc-8s for sale to fund a set right now. That said, I'd prefer a 10" wheel.

There are 17x10s available in 5x114.3, and specific fitment for NC miatas. 255s would be a perfect fit.
