I gambled on the weather forecast being accurate, which was my error.

I took the girlfriend to a friends place around 7 and planned on leaving around midnight. Various weather sources expected snow to start falling by 3am. Fortunately the only accumulation on the roads was in the residential area I left from. The roads were mostly clear due to the winds, but I did take extra care with my speed and drove below the limits.

She's tucked in the garage today as I'm looking out the window; sideways blowing freezing rain all over the place.

Hell, Idda just holed up for the night with the GF at your friends place.

Yep, built a big fire in the fireplace, pushed the couch in front of the fireplace, opened up a bottle of brandy, got naked and ...... see what happened .......

Just drove out in the madness, these tires are shining right now that I have. All winter they sucked, but put a little ice into the mix and I become a tank where SUV's are getting stuck. True story.

Drove the car in some snow last night for the first time.
I went to a friend's place and took a chance based on the weather that it wouldn't snow... It did lol.

The factory Primacy tires don't like snow at all. But I managed to ease the car home.
I came about 1ft from sliding into a parked bmw 5 series when it test drove a FRS with stock tires in the snow.

X ice 3.

Wouldn't recommend for anything other than this weather we have right now, hills are an issue for this tire. Blizzaks are more than likely to be much better and are similar in price.

I bet you get a lot of rain in Toronto.
I was looking at nokian hakkapeliitta R2 for next season.
Since we get a lot of snow here in Ottawa.

+1

Had the xice3 and wasn't happy with it at all on snow and ice. My then tire guy said michelin makes crappy winter tires. The $90 Sailuns I replaced them with were much better.

Have those on my 06 Accord, they are really good. So good, the Accord felt like a AWD..

I added wireless Apple CarPlay. The sound quality is not that great..

I..kinda miss the stock unit but maybe I need to tune it differently
