No problem. Just look at a couple of the for sale threads in that link I gave you so you know what to do and it doesn't just get deleted.

Daily'd my FRS right up until it was totaled, and then proceeded to daily the BRZ I got after. Put about 40k miles in 2.5 years.

Nobody I know can match the late @azspd02 though. He put 64k miles on his car in a year and a half. No doubt still putting miles on his BRZ in the great racetrack in the sky.

It's a $25k car that offers lackluster performance, it's shit in traffic, and uncomfortable running errands in. The clutch engagement is annoying, needing to use the gas to get up a hill that an obese person could ascend without feeling winded is ridiculous, the cruise control can't hold it's speed on anything other than completely flat ground, brake feel akin to asking your s/o what they want to eat for dinner, and the gas pedal makes the car a complete starfish.

TL;DR The clutch pedal isn't good, the brake pedal isn't good, the gas pedal isn't good.

On a race track where you're engaging all those things a bit more actively that all disappears; you're fast on the clutch, you're hard on the pedal, and you're foot down on the gas at very very high RPMs.

Below 8/10ths this car is completely dead and useless.
You're angry and wrong. Ugly combo.

You just sound like a very unhappy, grumpy, and bitter person who bought the wrong car and has to take it out on everyone who is enjoying the car.

*also your car turning into a starfish is NOT normal, as stated in the manual.*

If you're feelings are hurt by my opinion there is nothing I can do about that. I'm giving an open opinion on the car, like anyone else here.

Owing a car that I feel is so bad does make me those things you mentioned, just as you enjoying the car makes you very happy and delighted. We're enthusiast, which means we more of an emotional stake in our cars than your typical "A to B" person. Maybe once I trade the car or sell it I'll think about it in the way one would divorcing a beautiful person, it will still be pleasing to see but I'll never want to be inside it again.

😂😂I have to say those last few lines were a spectacular use word play my friend.

Me? Hurt? Feelings? Not at all, I enjoy this car but not blissfully. I see the short comings but all things considered (sporty, affordable, decent mpgs..ect) it made sense in my situation.

I respect your opinion, and more so the right for you to express it. Even if I do poke fun around here, I mean no harm.

So the car has 200hp
So?
You need to climb a hill? Downshift and listen to it sing to redline
Brakes feel vague? Time for EBC/TRD pads
Clutch bugging you? A 12mm, some adjustment and it'll feel a lot better

I agree there are something (cabin noise, low slung seats, stiff suspension) that make it a less than ideal daily driver, but I wouldn't say it's a bad car, just more sports car oriented than a Corolla.

200hp doesn't mean a lot by itself, but those number don't fee like they work in this car. I think if the car had shorter gearing 200hp / 3 Tq would work well. The car tops at 155, but what does that matter when it a sail boat ride across the pacific to get there? Add to that that Honda can make 240/hp with the same displacement and lower compression, and that was over a decade ago. Obviously I'm not an engineer, so I could be making the argument, "If you can put a man on the moon, why can't you put one on the Sun?"

I've been looking at brakes in between bouts of Autotrader and the classifieds on NASIOC and E46 Fanatics. The brake thread on this site has been wonderful in helping me make an informed decision, as well as the Essex Learning Center: http://www.essexparts.com/support/learning-center--faq

About the clutch, it's how it engages. It engages, it's not very smooth at all. You can finesse it with the pedal, at the cost of clutch material, but I feel for a car as light and as new as this that that shouldn't be the case.

I don't mind the cabin noise so much, and I get the seat placement. The stiff suspension is alright, but I believe it's mostly do to it's short wheel base that the car feels so harsh.

My feelings about this car is that it's less than I feel it should be in all the areas I feel are important. I feel the car should be less expensive than it's selling for, but Toyota has to make money on margins because it's never going to be a high selling vehicle.

I've said in a thread before, bought used for around $15k and this is a spectacular car. Buying it brand new, like I did, is money better spent on used spectacular car.

It might not seem like much, but I'm at about 3 and a half years with 47k miles on mine because I daily it. This is the fourth car I've owned, and I've never put that many miles on anything else. I didn't own the first two this long, but the third (my mazda) I had for 6 years and only put about 30k.
