That thread was a good read, thanks.

I've wondered just how much better the nose heavy V6 model is compared to the I4 and from what you showed, it's more driver dependent than anything on track.

I'm still wondering what your race car looked like packed with spares and co-driver in the transit stages!

And yeah, your stripe package works on the Camry. It takes me back to the days where I watched the Eagles run at my home circuit. Those cars were nuts, totally dominant with their 4-banger engines.

I just took delivery of mine on friday night. I caught a damn cold though so I'm not driving it till I get better.

The stripe is what hit home for me. IDGAF if you like it or not, it has legit sentimental value to me. I've dedicated this car to my grandpa who owned an 87 GT-S Corolla, it's no longer in the family, but I still see it once a month when I visit grandma. His Corolla is as old as I am haha.

And sorry for the bad camera phone pic. It was 6:20am, overcast, 3 girls were at the same mural trying to take pics for the Vans clothing brand and I had to interrupt their little photoshoot and then go to work right after.

I like those newer trd side skirts. They don't have that part that extends up the front fender, looks a lot cleaner

If Neptune is an option for the last model year I might just consider getting it...

I was looking at Toyota's website and when I try to build a car that's Neptune colored it says "out of stock" is it a limited color or something? I like it, almost makes up for killing Hot Lava and the melty face has grown on me. Hyperblue might be a decent alternative though, both will be hard to find when they stop making this car sometime next decade.

Nice, congrats! The retro stripe reminds me of something from that era also shot in Hawaii.

Not advertised as limited but based on an estimated 5% of 5,000 2019's being made for the US this year being Neptunes, supply will be short depending on regional demand. Try another zip code, they're in stock in my region.

Thanks for the congrats! This car is going to be my daily driver for the rest of my life.

Also, I'm not even kidding you, my dad said the same thing when I came home with the car and he saw the stripes. I had a pretty good laugh about it but he stayed silent.... then completely out of no where he questioned why Ford put "Ground Speed" in the Mustang's speedometer. (he had a rental Mustang on a trip and went on a stupid rant about it to my brother). I thought he was lying, but he showed me a picture.

I hope they bring color scheme for the new helicopter back for the upcoming reboot to be honest.

Today I confirmed with a friend who works at TMNA Plano who has access to a lot of data that there will only be 240 Neptunes imported into the US for the 2019 model year. So on average there will 20 per month to be wholesaled to 1,500 dealers. About half will be A/T's.

When I checked last week there were 3-4 within 100 miles according to cargurus.com. Today there's 1 left and it's an A/T. Some dealers are marking them up $1K.

OTOH, the TRD SE's are arriving in force. There are 10 on the ground within 100 miles. Some dealers are marking them up, the others are MSRP.

Oh well, there's always hyper blue brzs and just changing the color myself, I don't think I want to dump more money into this chassis until I have substantially more money, not likely until 2020+ for me.

I drove a TRD today. Very impressive compared to my lightly modified '13, sharper steering, better-controlled rebound damping, firmer brake pedal, the Pilot Sports strike a nice balance between ride and handling, the v.2.0 exhaust has the right, low, mellow sound to my ear, close to a Perrin resonated, and on this bright sunny day that shows black at it's best, the body kit popped. It's a gorgeous car, stripe and all.

The ride height tape measured 26 5/8" from the ground through the wheel centerline to the highest point of the front left wheel arch, car unloaded. Can someone check that same measurement on a stock '19 for comparison? Not sure if that's the best place to measure ride height but thought it might work.

The dealer just got it in a few days ago and had it out front. They had some lookers, no offers, but it helped them sell the other two they had on the lot that were priced lower.

Considering the TRD content, I think it's fairly priced now and when arrivals and incentives increase around the time the snow flies, it'll be a steal.

Just bought my '19 TRD yesterday. Love everything about it. First sports car I have owned. Getting used to the firm ride. Not sure about the stripes. Gonna live with them for a month and then decide.

I do have one question that I hope someone will have an answer to. Is there a way to have both doors unlock with touching the drivers door handle? I scanned the owners manual but could not find an amswer. Thanks

Don

i wondered the same thing, then thought, if i was trying to do this because i had a passenger, let them touch their handle, because touching the passenger side unlocks both, and since your key it outside near the car it may work, unless the car is smart enough to know you're on the left side haha...of course if you're by yourself, use the door pad when you get in

Those sideskirt are just some of the parts reused from the FR-S RS 1.0.
