Lies to get out of work

I need all of them.
My current one: I'm sick, which is true. I'm sleep deprived.
But I'll need others for the future-anyone have anything clever?

Or...you could get a job you enjoy doing, and quit that bitch.

Sorry, old man practicality kicking in. The sick excuse is always the best one, and you can take it to another level by telling them you have a chronic condition that flares up from time to time. Even better if you can get a doctor's note, which they will eventually ask for when you are taking sick days all the time.

Best bet would be for back spasms or some digestive disorder.

Nowadays anything back related is suspect, whether it's true or not.

Personally I find that less info is better. Call in sick. That's it. I don't pretend to cough, or sound sick. Half the time I don't even call. Just shoot an email in. But things like this are pretty lax where I'm at.

Unless your company has a doctors note policy for a single day, they have no need for details and most people don't really care what's wrong with their coworkers as long as it doesn't affect/infect them. When folks call in to me with lots of details and info, I tend to not believe them, and am usually correct.

You don't need an excuse, just say you need a personal day, which could be anything.

I very rarely call out-probably 2 days every 6 months. I enjoy both of my jobs, I'm able to request off to do things-its just my night job is understaffed(so they have a hard time finding someone to cover) so when I call out it needs to be an epic reason and not "I only got 7hrs of sleep in two days"
Also been working there for 2 years

Sick Pet.
Food Poisoning.
Diarhea and/or vomiting.
Neighbor, Friend, Family Member went into labor.
If your a chick and your boss isn't - Feminine issues.
Lice.
Urinary infection.

There's a few for starters. You always wanna pick a sickness that will not need a doctors visit and/or note.

My boss calls me robocop. He called me yesterday (his day off) to add his personal tasks to my day. He says "Just do your robocop things and see if you can get X done for me."
