Perhaps I missed it, but is there a sound clip of your system?

Thanks much for such a thorough write-up, really pushed me that last bit to get this system.

Side note: I'm about to pull the trigger on the whiteline bushing just based on your blip about how good it is. Any quick words on the worth of getting one?

What happened? We are all curious about it.
We are focusing more on other parts first. It did make power, and we can turn off the CEL with a tune. We are still not 100% on if we will release it. But we are listening, and if there is a huge demand, we could get it made. We will let everyone know if something changes.

Hi Chris,
If I'm not mistaken, there have been at least 3 different people reporting that rattling issue with the resonated catback. Are you saying that in all the cases it is just that the catback was installed incorrectly?

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the Perrin resonated catback and this issue has me worried. If we do install the catback and have the rattle issue, and try loosening/repositioning/retightening and the rattle issue won't go away, will Perrin take care of us? I'm hoping it wouldn't be an issue for me, but if it is, is there anything Perrin could do? Thanks.

Phaedrus29,

Yes, it's a tight fit there, and with a little tweaking, it will clear fine. We've installed the production versions with the resonator on our several cars here locally including our own 3 cars without any issues.

If you or anyone has problems that they can't resolve, we will take care of you.

Can you post some PICS where the pipe mostly touch so we can avoid the rattle when install. Does it affect in Automatic or Manual or Both?

Nice and very detailed write up! we've sold quite a few of the Perrin exhausts lately, and they seem to be a great success!

There are some very good pictures in post 2 of this thread.
I haven't heard of any auto guys have any problems, but I would guess they would have a similar issue too before some tweaking.

Great audio of the catback can be found in this post: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...49&postcount=3

I'm sure other guys can chime in on headerback systems.

Mine was hitting in the same area at first when I did the install. I went back a couple days later and was able to move it far enough away that it hasn't knocked since then. Mind you its only been 4 days but its definitely not making contact with the body anymore. Chris gave me the idea to loosen the transmission hanger and that gave it whatever it needed to move a little extra.

Exhaust+Perrin tune really turns the car into something else. I'm really looking forward to whatever is next.

The header, if released, will be catless right? I saw Nameless was using a high flow ceramic core.

Most likely if we did have a header, it will not have a cat.
