BRZ Front Bumper Accent Lights
Just curious of how bright the JDM vent lights actually are. Are they just strips with the brightness of a bedroom/countertop LED strip... Or would they actually provide any significant illumination say on a dark back road etc.

I wouldn't expect them to put out much usable light to see by. They're likely just more of an accent/be seen by other cars light.

Agree. I haven't seen them in person, but looking at the images they don't seem to be designed in any way to project light in a usable fashion as supplemental lighting. There aren't any optics to focus the light in any way. It's just accent lighting.

Agree with the others. They have no way to project light. They look similar to the DRL on the ND2 MX5.

I actually have these in my car right now but havent put them on. Subaru won't do it and I'm not sure if they require taking off the bumper. Anyone know if it's something that can be done easily/quickly?

Doesn't require taking off the bumper, but the bigger issue is the wiring harness. The USDM cars don't have the correct plug, so you may have to get creative with how you do it. Looks like these guys sell their own harness that you can feed into the fuse box, but depending on where you bought your parts, you may have to get creative with how you wire the lights in. |

BRZ Front Bumper Accent Lights
I think @FT-86 SpeedFactory is looking into a plug&play harness that ties them into the side markers.

I do a lot of night driving, because the 22 has those non-blinding headlights it's actually kinda hard to see especially going uphill around turns in the dark.
While it's not that bad, I'd love to see someone come out with a decent looking fog light setup. Love this render with fog light cutouts in the front. |
