The deposit was only non refundable if they could not get a car. Of course had no vin yet so that would have applied.
Price was written in as firm and would not change when car was found. Probably the wording they used closed the loopholes.

If they got the car there and then I said no it was non refundable.

Any murmurings of them offering a performance pack for the GR86? Maybe 2024/2025?

Won't touch the Gen 2 until the silicone noodle issue is fully resolved! With my old BRZ, the Subaru dealer had the audacity to tell me that anything above 5000rpm isn't normal operation.

Yet there marketing still shows the cars being raced and drifted, even now.

Im hoping they mean it isnt "common" operation (meaning not alot of the general public revs any car over 5k) since its well within normal operating range.....hell even a non sports car commonly redlines at 6000-6500rpm lol.

Then again dealership people usually dont know squat about their products outside of a spec sheet.

The service director who told me this had a WRX manual with over 100k miles. He should be familiar with FA20s. When I asked him to put it in writing all that he had said over the phone, he never responded. That was our last communication back in 2020.

The shape of it looks just like the TRD exhaust from Gen 1.
