Whelp, I wiped my computer and forgot to backup the V2.076 ROMs.
Does anyone have them on their cloud drive? They're nowhere to find on OFT's website.

Hey all, I'm running the OFT v1 Stage 2+ e85 tune on my 2016 FRS (auto.. It is what it is) anywho.. I love it so far and have no problems, but I do miss (neighbors don't) my obnoxiously loud cold start. I have a JDL UEL header and a full exhaust replacement using Invidia/Tomei/JDL aftermarket parts, so that cold start you can imagine was up there in the decibels.
I got to talking to a buddy of mine and he said that it is possible to play with the tune to get the cold start back. I don't know how and don't know if it's possible, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible though.
If any of you experienced folk have some knowledge with regards to this that would be awesome!
I did read/scan this whole thread and couldn't find anything but it was 4:30am when I started reading so I could have easily missed what I was looking for. Thanks in advanced!

I can't remember all the tables, but start with the idle speed target table(s) - you'll notice they're temp related. Compare them to the stock ROM and you'll see what's been changed.

search table Ignition timing after start
put it very negative, at least -9 or if you want growlier tone put like -15 o -19
that table is the most effective that make louder cold start

On OFT tunes the in dash fuel economy display will read 25-30% off on E85,to correct this adjust the Fuel_Multiplier_Display_Offset Table as per below (original values with 30% added) you may need to adjust this percentage slightly if you find the readout is still differs from actual

Note in your Definition the "Fuel Multiplier Display Offset" Table may be under the "BRZ ALPHA" folder

Hello @steve99

Is this still needing to be changed even on the v4.03 tune?
Seeing about 30-40% higher MPG on the dash than manually .alculating.

Example, calculated 313.8 miles / 12.27 gal = 25.57 mpg. Dash shows 36.1. So that's about 41% higher.
I know the calculated isn't exactly 100% either but would like to get the dash to show at least close to what I calculated.

Cant remember the exact file but I recall that it retarded the timing during cold start to warm up the cat. from memory it retarded the timing by up to -10deg It was a single line of cells in the table that was change from -10 on STD rom to something like +4 deg in STG2 then copy and paste the all the cells to your E85 tune. Just make sure scale across the top and down the left side is the same on both roms. You can find it in Rom Raider by comparing the STG2 and Standard rom. I would look for you but im not near my computer. NOTE.... the file is not the ignition transient retard file, that file is to stop detonation during hi rpm gear changes.
Sorry cant be of more help until next week when I can look it up for you if you want to send me a P.M then. Do you have Rom Raider? .
Cheers Geoff.

Hello, @steve99

I am following the tips for the rev limiter. however while in rom raider I have 2 limiters. rev limit A (fuel cut) and rev limit B. do I ignore the limit B settings? Could I disable it by inputting the value 'zero'?

I have tried following your settings for rev limit A and base timing b -14.88, I have found that while I am sliding in 1st gear or 2nd gear it just holds the rpm. My goal is to get it to bounce off the limiter without activating the failsafe limiter and killing power. Would setting base timing B to -0.12 be more of the characteristic I am seeking? I am trying to achieve this on my manual 2017 toyota 86.

steve99 was unfortunately banned. You can find him on the OFT FB group if you use FB. There are others here that can probably answer your question. I haven't touched any of that stuff since I had my car tuned but there are others who are very knowledgeable who may chime in and answer for you.

set rev limit A and B The same
try with bigger hysteresis like 7500/7400 , so 100rpm of difference

If you want a smooth rev limiter then you need to have the ignition retard limiter limit the refs rarther than the fuel cut limiter that is rev limiter A and B.

So have the ignition retard limiter start 100-200 rpm before the fuel cut limiter and make the ignition retard ramp very sharp maybe try -30 instead of -15

Also as Tom says make the rev limit A and B hysteria ie the different between on and off values in A and B limiter small like 100 or even 50 rpm
