Painted 2017+ Taillights

I've got a BLACK 2018 BRZ with the updated taillights (beautiful OEM taillights imo) I've been wanting to delete all chrome or silver accents on the vehicle, started with the interior and got rid of the ugly silver accents. Moved to the headlights and did away with the chrome accents in the headlights using a black gloss paint. I decided to give the tail lights a shot at deleting the chrome cause they stood out on the black paint. Looked up the process of cutting open the tail lights and used a Dremmel tool with a cut off wheel and a multi purpose drill bit. Cut along the edges of the plastic and tore them apart. There are 6 Phillips holding the internals together and two connectors. Took out the silver pieces and prepped for paint. I did 3 coats and let it dry 24 hours then did another 2 to hide any blemishes. I put all internals back together and sanded down the housing and lens. I used clear permatex silicone (same thing I used on headlights been over 6 months no leaks) and applied a generous amount. I let the taillights sit for another 24 hours and installed on the car. I absolutely love the results. It's a very subtle difference but it makes me happy!
