That sucks about the exhaust being lower than the factory. The only other exhaust I like is the super sprint and it costs way too much.

Already decided on putting the Borla Catback on my FR-S. Each time I see a new video it makes me want it even more. Probably be around March before I get it.

I'm curious to the accuracy of this and will know by the end of the week when I get mine installed. Borla got on here and said that on it's project car it sat I think around a 1/2 inch lower which is a big difference. No clearance issues with the car that is also lowered.

If it's only a 1/2" lower let me know. I would be game for that.

I didn't measure mine but it doesn't sit too low. I'm on eibach sportlines (1.4") and haven't scraped on anything yet and doesn't seem like I will.

Got my Borla exhaust installed this weekend and man is it awesome. It gives the car a completely different feel without the excessive drone of some other exhausts. I am really enjoying it so far!

I installed a Borla today. Easiest catback I've ever done, took less than a half-hour with jack stands.

Mine does hang lower than stock, by close to two inches. Actually the lowest part is the 'under axle' loop, but the muffler itself is lower too. However, the way you adjust the tips affects how the muffler hangs.

I have mine set so I have about a finger's worth of clearance between the top of the tip and the bottom of the valence cutout. If I lowered the tips - rotated the pipe joint downward - that would cantilever the muffler up. So your ground clearance is gonna be dictated by how you adjust it. I have a bit less than 4.5 inches under the rear of the muffler, but if I was willing to point the tips down I could get about an inch back.

It sounds good. It's a little loud for my taste at high throttle positions, but the tone is proper and there's absolutely no resonance at highway speeds.

I've seen references to the ground clearance as published by Subaru as being 4.9 inches. That must reference some other part of the car (LCAs, maybe), because the stock exhaust doesn't hang that low.

So the Borla only drops a bit less than a half inch from the overall clearance - but it does hang significantly lower than the stock exhaust. If that makes sense - the exhaust is now the lowest point on the car, and stock, it isn't.

Have you noticed any difference other than the sound? I guess it would be worth noting if you have any other performance mods also.

Nope, no other modifications.

I'm not sure what you mean by other differences...nothing bad (it doesn't rattle or rub or bang on anything), anyway. I'm not expecting anything other than more sound - it's just an exhaust pipe, after all.
