There were like 3 release versions, one of them being just the game and no additional content. I got the one that gave you something like a million credit, 3 cars, GR Yaris with livery, and some other stuff, but cost either 80 or 90 bucks???

I honestly don't remember which one I got, but I remember getting that credit, the 3 cars. But only paid like $60. The front cover of the game said "Launch Edition", the more expensive one was the 25th anniversary one I think. In any case, I think I stopped being able to use them after the update with the menu books bug in it. I miss driving the Castrol Supra.

Yeah, might want to contact PD then to see what happened.

Found the fix to the DLC cars not being usable. If you got either the Launch, or the 25th Anniversary edition of the game, look inside the disc case. There should be a pamphlet with a code. I found this thinking maybe, the receipt of the game was placed inside the case, like I always do for insurance purposes. Re-enter the promo code on PS Store and is fixed.

The special editions of this game were pretty weak this go-round. I guess considering the super stingy economy from the get go that checks out. First time since GT4 I bought the vanilla version of a GT game because eh. Though I did get some bonus just because of where I bought it I think.

Funny side note, I bought TWO GT5 collectors editions thinking it was gonna be the biggest thing ever. $100 a piece.. I see unopened on eBay for $80 Was just reading an article the other day about most disappointing racing games ever and forgot about how many head-scratchers there were in that game, what a dud it was in many ways.

I read one of the steelbook editions, maybe it was GT6, actually came with a model car, albeit some MB. For me, since I bought a PS5 for GT7, figured to get the Steelbook, even if it didn't have a tangible extra.

Wow I forgot all about the car. GT5 collector came with an R35 model. Also forgot all about the Apex book. It was completely destroyed. We read it every night with the kiddos. I'd hide it to get a break from it haha. First 40+ pages were scotch-taped into place. I'll have to find it.. really hope my wife didn't pitch it or anything.

What car are you guys using for the Neoclassical menus? I tried using the R32 fully modded and while the gas consumption is great, it sill wont pair up with other cars. Best result I got at the RB Ring was 8th.

There are group 1 cars in that book. Gonna have to use one to even podium. I ended up using the 787B and R92CP, and even then it was super tough to get 1st.

In one of the races, I only got first cuz the AI ran out of gas on the last corner!

I think I tried using the 787 and even with the computer all the way down to 70% I still didn't make specs. Did you make any changes to aero or run Sport tires?

I ran racing hard tires. What was the PP limit? 800 right? Don't think I had to do much. Ballast and move the weight to the front. Reduce front down force a little.
