New Borla exhaust, camber bolts, brake pads, brake fluid, and pedal cover. Getting some basic prep done for the first track day in my GR86. Using up my "free" Toyota HPDE coupon to run the outer loop at Utah Msports Campus. One of my favorite tracks that I've driven a bunch in my TT BMW. Can't wait!

Do you have a plan for a BBK? I'm thinking CSG BM4 or AP 9660 when the time comes.

I been running PP brembos with brembo branded rotors and powerstop track day pads. Front heat shield removed and rears trimmed. With this setup, zero stress cracks after 16 days, which I found surprising. But on the negative side rotors measured 28mm outer diameter and 27mm inner diameter.
Wilwood with DTC-60 and centric blacks will start heat stress cracking on me after a day. Usually last a good 20 days before the cracks goes beyond my comfort zone. But rotor thickness remains within spec. |

Not yet. I am a fan of the AP Racing stuff, so would lean that way. But, the BM4 looks nice as well, and a little more affordable.

Just GR decals with clearcoat, but I think they came out pretty nice. These were listed as 2006 WRX 4-pot calipers, but they came on other year WRX afaik. IIRC, earlier sets have Subaru embossed into the face and later ones like these were normally painted Subaru.
I like em and they dont affect bias when used with stock rears, but it's certainly not the same as a full on BBK. Last edited by DylanJZA; 07-26-2022 at 04:45 PM. |

I'm running PP Brembos on my 2022 GR86 (with CSG C2 pads). Very happy with durability and brake bias (unchanged).

If you look on RockAuto, you can get NuGeon remanned calipers (P/Ns 9701335A and 9701335B, $143.79 USD each with an available $90 USD core charge) with Brembo pads (P/N P56034N, $49.79 USD for 4 front pads) which would work. Based on my research and according to some guys on a BMW forum, NuGeon remanned calipers are typically found with new pistons and seals (as opposed to other brands which apparently only recondition these components per the forum posts). They also stated that this company's calipers were included in some Tuner Motorsports kits, and to me that is indicative of a good part. |
