we'll post up the details on the 86DRIVE calendar, so just keep an eye on that for final details.

Pretty sure I'll be able to make this drive. I've never really driven the roads up there, so maybe the idea of new roads/scenery will motivate me to come out.

I guess you really weren't paying attention to my exhaust... weren't you there a couple weeks ago when I was showing it off to @Cjymiller? I don't know how you missed that one.. we were in an empty parking lot and I was the only car running haha. Maybe the fire engine noises distracted you?

Damn. I was hoping for a 7am CV drive and breakfast at Dougs. I have to be back in stockton by 10, so Pano is too far for me this weekend. Have fun guys.

Sorry man, just meant it as a suggestion, but since there weren't any others, I guess that's what we're doing. How bout we do a central valley one next and you lead us at the foothills and have us get-up at the butt crack o dawn

Alright, took last night to hash out the details below (also posted at 86DRIVE)

Warning: have not done this route (rode it in pieces back when I used to ride) so pace will be "brisk but sane" unless somebody else wants to lead. If memory serves me correctly, there should be some awesome views if we don't have any fog.

The route: http://goo.gl/maps/blzNQ

Meet at the parking lot across Fairfax Coffee Roastery at 7:30am

Fairfax Coffee Roastery
4 Bolinas Road, Fairfax, CA 94930

Starting at the parking lot across Fairfax roast coffee
Down Bolinas Rd.
Left on Ridge Crest and work our way to the peak
Back down to Pan-Toll Rd. and back to Hwy 1
Work our way to Mill Valley for breakfast/freeway back home

Route should take ~2 hrs. with a break at the peak.

I propose breakfast at the Shoreline coffee shop (never been there, but my wife says its pretty good)
221 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Bring a full tank of gas and your FRS radios if you got em

Would people be down for getting together on July 6? It's one of the free weekend days I'm around.

Totally down. Come up with a drive you like, plot out the route on googlemaps let us know here, or in a new thread in the norcal sub forum and it will probably end up on the calendar.

For those who make it to the drive on 6.22 in Marin, don't forget about the new toll system on the GG bridge. Info here.

No LOL I've heard both Works and Perrin exhausts from the outside before. Both sound great. But I want to ride along in the car though and hear what it's like inside while driving though. Hopefully you can take me for a short spin somewhere.

I should be taking delivery of my Perrin resonated today. You can definitely hit me up for shotgun the next time we meet.

OK I've added this to the Meets/Activity db as well. So there's at least 3 ways you can find out about this DRIVE. This thread, the 86DRIVE calendar, and the Meets/Activity db thread. So I really hope no one comes back in a day or so and says "derp, I didn't see it".

Ohhh ok got it, I was gonna say... haha.

IMO the Perrin isn't loud enough in-cabin, which is why I'm trying to go to headers + stock exhaust. The Perrin sounds great if you're outside the car, but inside the engine sounds kind of drown it out (even with a sound-tube delete). I want exhaust sounds I can enjoy in-cabin, with a quieter tone outside, so my neighbors don't evict me.

Yeah they should know by now where to find the good stuff. I am still 50/50 on if I can make it. I'd love to since I'm supposed to be in the city that day anyways AND my grandparents live in Mill Valley so I could see them too. I just have to convince the GF.

Ya, totally support this one! @finch1750 @sdlynx @>(559)< FR-s @bignrichlll and a few others from CenCal have really great ideas for nice routes. It's been discussed many times, we need to make this one a reality

I really like to go for the drive this weekend but I already have plans with the family. Drive safe guys!
