Urgh. This weekend should’ve been good, and it was mostly. But for me it’s the kind where I leave it feeling more down than I should. Went on a drive just to cruise around San Jose a bit to get some fresh air because I thought it would help but it mostly didn’t. So now I’m just sitting in my car parked at home with the windows rolled down.

Well, as long as the car isn't running and your windows are rolled down ….. you should be good. Up here, today, one couldn't sit outside in your car with the windows rolled down (unless you wanted to get wet). See, you're better off...…. humfrz |

Oh, I did accomplish something today, I replaced the under sink water filters. Now, you have to hear my history with those before you call that task small. A few years back, I installed a name brand filtration system, several years went by and all was OK, till they quit making the replacement filters. So, I replaced the entire system again. Then I get this e-mail from the supplier that said it was time to order new filters. So, I ordered them. They were for the WRONG (the old system)! They took them back. The name brand store that sold me the new name brand system quit stalking the replacement filters, so, I had to order them on line. OK, they came in, so they sat on the kitchen counter for a few weeks, while I was waiting for the light to come on to tell me to replace them. I finally remembered that I hadn't replaced the battery, because it bugged me when it would start blinking. Now, I keep getting e-mails from BOTH of the filter system suppliers, but, I can't figure out which one sells the ones that fit my system. So, I get out my headlamp and knee pads to get down under the sink to change the filters and move all that stuff we never use. To unscrew the old filters and replace them takes some body twisting and much pain. Sort of like getting in and out of @Sapphireho 's Lotus. Finally, I get them on and tightened up proper, with a minimum of water spraying me in the face and catches in my back. THE END humfrz |

It was the crowning glory after weeks of ribbing him about catching up to grade level over the summer.
He laughed so hard he had tears rolling. Unmarked, sealed, brand new xbox was his final gift.

Coincidentally, my oldest grandson performed for us the latest pieces he has been practicing. He's first violin in his high-school orchestra.
