Urgh. This weekend should’ve been good, and it was mostly. But for me it’s the kind where I leave it feeling more down than I should. Went on a drive just to cruise around San Jose a bit to get some fresh air because I thought it would help but it mostly didn’t. So now I’m just sitting in my car parked at home with the windows rolled down.

I usually get that feeling when I hadn't gotten anything productive done over the weekend. Once in a while I'll waste a weekend playing computer games or something. Just makes me more motivated to get shit done next weekend.

Well, as long as the car isn't running and your windows are rolled down ….. you should be good. Up here, today, one couldn't sit outside in your car with the windows rolled down (unless you wanted to get wet). See, you're better off...….

That could be it. But on the other hand I had a solid weekend hanging out with friends (different groups in fact) all three days, including Friday night. So while I didn't get anything done, per se, I still did things and had fun.

Haha fair enough. Definitely off with windows rolled down. Wouldn't want to get doused!

Yep, that's my life, every day. My motto: "Never do today what you can put off doing till tomorrow".

Oh, I did accomplish something today, I replaced the under sink water filters. Now, you have to hear my history with those before you call that task small.

A few years back, I installed a name brand filtration system, several years went by and all was OK, till they quit making the replacement filters. So, I replaced the entire system again. Then I get this e-mail from the supplier that said it was time to order new filters. So, I ordered them. They were for the WRONG (the old system)! They took them back.

The name brand store that sold me the new name brand system quit stalking the replacement filters, so, I had to order them on line. OK, they came in, so they sat on the kitchen counter for a few weeks, while I was waiting for the light to come on to tell me to replace them.

I finally remembered that I hadn't replaced the battery, because it bugged me when it would start blinking. Now, I keep getting e-mails from BOTH of the filter system suppliers, but, I can't figure out which one sells the ones that fit my system.

So, I get out my headlamp and knee pads to get down under the sink to change the filters and move all that stuff we never use. To unscrew the old filters and replace them takes some body twisting and much pain. Sort of like getting in and out of @Sapphireho 's Lotus.

Finally, I get them on and tightened up proper, with a minimum of water spraying me in the face and catches in my back.

THE END

Coincidentally, my oldest grandson performed for us the latest pieces he has been practicing. He's first violin in his high-school orchestra.

Marriage will take care of that.

New wife: Spuds, do you want to clean the bathrooms OR wash the windows?

Spuds: Neither, I just want to play computer games.

Wife: Fine, but if I have to do both, I will be too tired to have sex tonight.

Except I'm the one usually asking those questions and she's the one wanting to play the games...
