Anything quieter than Q300 besides stock?

I currently have a catless UEL header and catted FP with stock catback and I am getting some rasp. I've read that Invidia Q300 are quiet but I'm wondering if there's anything quieter than Q300 and not have rasp. I also have read that Q300 gets louder with age which is no good... Any suggestions?

Stock is the only exhaust that is quieter than the Q300.

I had a Catless UEL, Stock Catted FP and Stock Cat Back, the car sound quiet just like stock exhaust system, so im not sure why you're experiencing rasp.

Maybe I can suggest you put the stock FP back on?

I'm pretty sure all mufflers get louder with age I have the Greddy SP Elite and it's pretty quiet. You can also try swapping your catless header for a catted one.

You know you don't have to buy a bolt on catback right? Have a shop weld on a Magnaflow or Dynomax or something, it's cheaper and the fitment is perfect because they bend new hangers for you.

This.

I have an UEL header and overpipe, but stock frontpipe back; quiet at low revs, but decently loud when I floor it a bit. Zero rasp.

Also:

your definition of "rasp" needs to be clearly defined.

Under acceleration?
In a tunnel?
In the cabin?

I'm going to speculate by saying your choice of catted front pipe is the current source of your rasp.

I ran a completely catless setup (catless UEL + catless double resonated FP + quiet catback) and it still had some "rasp" outside of the car, but nothing when you actually drive it.

Stock FP eh?... That's a bummer. Not sure if I'm there yet.

I can hear rasp inside the cabin when accelerating moderately to hard but no rasp while steady cruising.

Muffler shop around my area are no good at all, bad first hand experiences.... I'm afraid to have them do anything

Although I hate throwing money at the problem, I might have to try a something like Hooker Blackheart catted FP with Helmholtz chamber.

I can't find anything on CSG catback. Also some people say that ARK Design Road Sport is quieter than Q300 but I can't find any objective proof on that one either.

I know it's hard to imagine the stock part actually being decent, or at least not a detriment, but the numbers don't lie.

if you really want to you can also get the JDL Ultraquiet front pipe which comes with a high flow cat and a resonator.

Rasp honestly is just the high frequencies from an exhaust. To minimize rasp just add some resonators or get bigger mufflers.

If it makes you feel better there's hardly any gains to be had with a change in fp, at least while NA (and no tune)

I had the same problem with EL header and Perrin exhaust. I went to the Invida Q300 exhaust and HKS dual resonated front pipe. Very nice mellow sound as quiet as stock at idle and cruiz. And this combination is all bolt on, you can do your self.

And if you look around there ate lots of Q300's for sale from people wanting more noise. I got mine for $250.

I am planning on getting the car dyno tuned... JDL resonated + catted fp and q300 is a tempting option
