I see no reason to put a non oem or oem type replacement in, being that we can not also do a flywheel.
When I had my clutch out when doing the throw out bearing last, the clutch was well over half life still, at that point my car had 5 full years of autox, and 5 years of tracking. |

Glad they changed the rule as some stock clutches can be garbage. Don’t see how a stronger clutch could be a performance benefit anyway. Not allowing a lighter flywheel makes sense though. Now realizing the Exedy Stage 2 is way overkill, but considering the Stage 1 just in case I ever go FI in the future. Then I can move to SM and not be competitive at all lol

The fronts were a single press-in piece with a metal shaft and 2 additional bushings flanking the main bushing. The rears where the standard 2 bushings with 1 metal shaft. See product pic for reference (offset bushing shown). Below pics are as installed, front then rear: |

949 specs, measured from the pinch welds to the ground;
https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...&postcount=220 jives with what I've found, 25" fender to ground is as low as I want to go 1.5" lower then stock iirc, (24.7" tire, 12.65" from hub center to fender), I don't think you lose a ton of performance going higher then that, damper travel soaking up the bumps is more important. |

@strat61caster If not mistaken, I think that's actually closer to 2" lower than stock. According to the factory specs I've seen, the stock ride height is approximately 14 5/8" hub center to fender. At the end of the day though, if the front control arms don't go below parallel, it's probably not a huge deal. I've found 13.25" to be a pretty decent compromise for Autox and daily driving.

I'm at 12.75" hub to fender --- could probably stand to raise it a bit but meh.
Just under 25" ground to fender. Car sits in the garage unless it's going to autocross so i'm less concerned about ride height. |

@colobrio I was also at 13" for a pretty long time. Decided to raise up 1/4" during the off season for more ground clearance. Everything else aside, when it comes to pure aesthetics, I do think 13" is the perfect ride height. Just low enough to look like an aggressive sports car without getting into stance bro territory lol

I agree. If I were driving the car daily I would have to raise it a bit - it gets old going through every intersection in the neighborhood at 5mph and a 45 degree angle. But it looks just right to my eyes as is, and since I don't drive it around town that often, I can put up with it.Whether it would a little faster if raised or lowered a bit, I have no idea. |

I ordered some parts, I have a couple other projects ahead of this but I'm hoping to get parts on the car for events starting in late April or early May. I'm just going to do suspension/brakes for right now and do the engine work later.
Suspension: - GReddy/KW V2 Coilovers 350/400 - Karcepts F / Mann rear sway bars - SuperPro FLCA / URCA bushings - SPC RLCA / Diftech bushings Brakes: - Hawk HPS 5.0 pads - Goodridge SS brake lines - RacerX MC brace RPF1 17x9 35 w/A052 255/40 (barring some new super tire appearing, of course)

First day on the A052's yesterday, impressive! Found myself running pressures 2-3psi lower than what I had been with the stones. Also surprised with how little heat they needed before providing confident grip (single driving in ~55* temps).
