That would run about 275-300 at my shop, to fix properly

The bumper does not need to be replaced. If you take the car to the dealership they will send your car out to their preferred body shop.

All that need to be done is:
Push out the dent
Sand down rough spots
Fill with bondo
Paint and blend to match

Will probably cost a couple hundred dollars.

I sent my dealer an email with the same pictures above and hopefully he will get back to me soon!

OUCH! That sucks man.

Mine got backed into on the rear bumper 2 days after purchase. The body shop quoted about $680 to "fix" and $780 to replace the whole rear bumper. My damage was not as bad as yours, but I do have the premium paint and the bumper is not pre-painted.

You're just gonna have to go get an estimate in your area to know for sure. Then you can properly weigh your options.

Either way, good luck.

Wash it real good and it will probably look 1/2 as bad. Then like everyone said - get a lip!

- TRD lip if ever we ever get it in the states.
- Stillen lip: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=15640&page=2

I had something similar happen when I had my mustang... I grabbed a 800 grit sand paper and flattened it a bit, then I spray painted it a similar color and you couldn't even tell the difference... 'twas a $15 repair

Waste of money to get it professionally fixed. Just sand it a bit smoother, remove the little debris, two coats of touchup paint and that's all. Maybe try to pop the bumper back out, if you feel like doing it. Otherwise, simply not worth the cost...

^X2 like someone else said that is going to happen on a car this low assuming ya use it as a car and not a show piece. Scratches add character. Let it go put a band aid on it and tell everyone your car got in a knife fight with a GTR.

The damage happened at a virtually unnoticeable location when viewed from the outside at standing height from any distance except a few feet away, assuming you even know to look for it; once painted over, it'll blend in completely when you're driving the car at any speed.

Now, if you had scraped the front of your bumper or (worse) the side of your car, then by all means get it pro fixed.

I did this to my car as well with one of those parking lot stops.

Actually, let me fix that. My girlfriend did it when she drove my car the first time as I was drinking and didn't want to drive. I heard the crunch and she froze in place just looking forward.

No words were spoken that night. No words.......
