got an update from the shop

i told them the the dip has got to go. Also, infinite power is good but i need moar, so they worked extra hard and got me the results i wanted.

also somewhere along the line they turned it into a V16, awesome.

They're short changing you. F1's redline is 18,000 right now with limited bursts to 19,000. It isn't until 2014 that they'll be limited to 16,000. I say you should go back and demand they get you that extra 2K rpm.

As for the OP: 200rwhp is roughly 250hp at the crank. So I think it might be just possible on 93 with an intake and full exhaust plus a custom tune. Those mods plus E85 should make it a piece of cake.

Now I'd like to see 220+rwhp on a heartbreaker dyno. That would be sweet. But I don't think it'll happen without a turbo, and at that point 220 is chump change.

According to @Visconti (or my interpretation of his words), the combination of various bolt-ons and the tune are not stacking, and the tune is trumping all.

Ok old thread but I'll bring it back to life.

So yesterday I did some Pulls and put the logs in Virtul Dyno. Compare to FA20club tune(Red line), Perrin tune(blue line) and stock(green line). All the info needed for accurate results are in weather stats,wheight, tires.

On Fa20 and Perrin I have, Perrin puley,Injen intake, Perrin resonated exhaust and tune, 94oct pump gaz.

On stock I have, Perrin puley, Injen intake,94oct pump gaz.

Both tune run where done 10 minutes apart from each other, starting with Perrin and then flash with FA20club and did the pull. Not realy fair for FA20club since the ecu did'nt have enough time to adapt, nevertheless it kicked ass.

So as you can see i'm not far from 200whp, but what I like the most is the FA20club torque 28lb above stock and 20lb above Perrin.

Tony will send me another tune since the one I have is the first one he sent me at the beginning, the new one will be optimise for the exhaust.

Give me 2 weeks or so. I should have a header/test pipe/exhaust and an E85 tune on my car (which already has a perrin pulley and a injen intake), I'd expect 200whp or more out of this.

What we've seen with at least the stock car is after an ECU reset the car has a tendency to make more power, sometimes even substantially more than before its reset. The advance multiplier on the 86 ECU is set higher than other Subarus initially.

I guess what I'm saying is I would be interested in seeing a run with a freshly flashed Perrin tune.

Probably cause the car runs more rich in afr, who knows

Well from my butt dyno Perrin alway's take a few day's till I feel any power and Jeff(Perrin) warns of that fact also. Nevertheless I'll make a run one day jsut to experiment. The FA20club tho as soon as you flash you got

as a leading friend of EFI Logics, they have tuned their first FR-S.
the car made 192whp uncorrected with only a cf driveshaft, catback, and an intake.
mike botti tuned it.

if nobody is aware, EFI is a leader in the NE for subaru's. they can install, tune, and build anything you can think of. my fr-s will be seeing them, as soon as i get a full exhaust, intake and various other tidbits. with these items, i bet mike can easily hit 200whp+ on 93 octane.

I made 186whp uncorrected with SRT, AFE, and tune. I always wondered if the CF drive shaft did anything for power output....

it may show 1whp. i believe rallysport direct did a back to back comparison. the cf driveshaft + lightweight wheels + lightweight flywheel + lightweight rotors all = lower rotational mass, not necessarily adding power. but it will respond to the 200whp way easier than a car with factory heavy parts.
