Bypassing the Rotrex
My JRSC is sick, but I still need to get to work. Is there a way I can bypass it so it won't spin? I don't want to cause even more damage.
Thanks -Mark |

Surely you’ll need to go back to the NA tune as well.

I looked it over & I think I can just remove the s/c, put the idler pulley back, and run off of the stock belt. If I don't touch anything else, I should be able to use the s/c tune. I mean, it'll just stay on the part of the map where there's no boost, right?

Well, that was the most depressing Saturday ever.
Spent several hours making my car slower. I was able to put some stock parts back & get it running while I send the blower back for a replacement. I think it might be slower than stock now, since it has to suck air through all that tubing and the intercooler. http://ls1m.com/demo/SCGONE1.jpg http://ls1m.com/demo/SCGONE2.jpg |

Remove rotrex assembly.
Replace stock pulley and belt Replace stock intake Flash stock rom. Leave the intercooler and everything else in place, for minimum re-assembly/installation. Tape up/cover up all the hose/pipe openings so you don't get contamination. |
