Question EcuTek DTC but no CEL?

Hi All,

Just finished-up my final logs with Delicious and received my final tune. The car is running very well, but I periodically pop the DTCs: P0507 - idle air RPM higher than expected, and P015A: 02 Sensor Delayed Response - Rich to Lean Bank 1 Sensor 1.

I have a Tomei UEL catless header, Tomei overpipe, stock front pipe, and Corsa catback.

These codes come and go but I have not had a CEL from them yet and the car idles and drives fine. I’ve mentioned it to Delicious when I send my logs but they never mention it when they reply with my updated tune.

Is it safe to ignore these since it is not triggering a CEL and the car is running fine, or should I contact Delicious about them? The car has 6k miles, so
I do not want to cause any early issues.

I’ll add too that my LTFT and STFT are fine and LTFT is -3% at most and I have not seen it positive/indicating lean (as the O2 sensor DTC implies)

Thank you

They ignore you saying about those DTC because there is no reason their tune should give you those codes... and that's actually true usually, neither do I know why you have those code
Their tune is good, your datalogs are probably good, so they probably don't know too what's happening

or they just haven't noticed it while they were focusing on datalogs

email them, Try to insist in helping you
maybe ask if you can try to downgrade to my17 tune that are more proven and defined that the very latest roms

Okay, thank you very much. I will send them an email tomorrow. My thinking was maybe the o2 sensor from the catless header is upset.

They did acknowledge the idle one and he sent me a new ROM but the code came back a week later.

Can either of these codes damage the engine? As I said, it’s running well.

Damage is a big word if you are NA

but codes related to the lambda sensor are always not good
if you post here your datalogs with datazap we can take a look too

i dont think lambda is goind bad, that would be extreme unluck... but it can happen. Maybe it is just damaged from installing it to the Tomei

are you super sure you haven't exhaust leak? in both sensors
Maybe Delicious scaled against the leak so the trims are fine but you are running pig rich in low speed
but those things you should ask to them , they tuned you from the beginning

I just emailed DT so I’ll see what they say then post a log here. I do not hear any leaks at all; any noise is out the muffler as it should and idles are whisper quiet. I retorqued everything a couple weeks after I installed the header, too, but it can happen.

Thank you, always appreciate your posts

Thank you for your input.

I have deleted them before and they come back occasionally, but not with an illuminated CEL; they just show up in the DTC report when I run it, periodically.

Update:

Received a new ROM already from DT to help out with the P0507 code (which maybe fix the P015A). He said he's seen the P015A code before and sometimes it's the header. So I am sticking with the plan to re-torque the exhaust this weekend.

Already loaded the new tune and all good so far.
