I actually like this and would actually buy it in a few years if real. I'm not exactly beholden to the coupe look but I do like this car a lot. Practicality+performance is one of my favorite things to have.

It's an interesting styling exercise but it violates one of the primary engineering goals of the 86/BRZ: Keep the center of gravity as low as possible. Wasn't the gen 2 roof switched from steel to aluminum for this very reason?

Personally (and I know this is sacrilege) I'd only consider it if it had four doors. The side profile doesn't look right with the one long door to me.

Here's your solution to the glass problem in the back.
Incidentally, although I never owned a Volvo C30, I absolutely adored the car it was styled after, the 1800S of the late 60's to early 70's. It was styled like a Karmann Ghia, but cooler.
