Header Preference?
So I have the front pipe and catback done, as well as intake. I've heard that a few of the better header designs for our car actually replace the overpipe as well, but I'm not sure which these are.
The choices I know of are HKS, Borla UEL and EL, and Agency Power. I know MXP is due to release theirs in a few months, they just had a setback due to the header getting too close to something or another and had to revise the design just a tad. Thoughts? Opinions? I'd prefer UEL and catless, but if there is a catted, EL, or whatever option that makes a crap ton more power, I'm all ears. I'm also having a hard time finding dyno graphs for any of these headers, and by that I mean independent dyno tests. |

Wait a month or two, Its almost "christmas time" for headers. Revworks, PPE, and JDL just released their headers.
Perrin, Nameless, and motiv are in the works/ or begining production. |

I thought Perrin said they aren't making a header for our car?
Nameless/JDL/P&L have some really great EL headers. Revworks/Borla/JDL (soon) all have UEL headers. It's still an early market for headers, imo. I would wait a bit. Last edited by FR-S Matt; 03-12-2013 at 10:12 PM. |

I suppose it has only been a bit under a year since release of our car, eh? Headers do tend to be a bit more in depth of a design from what i understand. Thanks for the opinions, and keep em coming!

P&L EL headers look to be the good. Flatten the torque curve through the dip or make it a a bump with a tune. Also come catted and uncatted. When the time comes for me to buy some i will be getting theirs.

Nameless and pl so far has had the design that shines the most.
Agency power was not worth it.....avoid it at all costs |

Perrin told me they weren't making one... But then an insider said they were. Idk which to believe.

After having it on my car, I will be going P&L. I will also be modding my exhaust to get the sound "Just right". Every EL header that i've heard so far adds a rasp to the current exhausts on the market.
I'll be talking to their fab guy and work some resonators in to my current exhaust because I will not DD a car that sounds like a ricey 90's civic.

I think Motiv is reconsidering the development of their header, i could be wrong but thats the last i heard. I'm probably going to get JDL UEL when the time comes.

Yessir, keeping the header catted, and along with the high flow cat I have it helps a ton, but I want to experiment with a few tweaks.
