Who else here has had their LTFT go up after switching back to gasoline from E85 maps or after trimming the intake snorkel?

I was looking through my old logs from before testing out the E85 map, and my LTFT were lower than they are currently with the OFT stage 1 map. I looked for exhaust and vacuum leaks and was only able to find a very small leak in the mid pipe to front pipe connection. Only things that were different pre and post- E85 were the trimmed intake scoop and the MAP version. (v1.3 vs. v1.42b)

Is it possible that the MAF scaling need to be modified to account for the trimmed intake scoop? LTFT has increased across the entire range to around +10% plus minus a few percent.

Is it possible that there still is some E85 in the tank? That might explain the lean LTFT

Yeah, I know they are for usdm.
Didn't know if it applies to non-usdm.

Likely not much if any of the last tank of E85 is left. I'm on my 3rd consecutive tank of 91 octane after switching from E85.

Don't we need to check these things during logs to make sure the tune is right for our Oz conditions?

Are there any other alternative logging options available? All good to keep an eye on the fuel trims, but I want to see if my car will be knocking!

You can check the ignition timing against the base timing map + timing advance and see if it matches or higher then there is no knock.

You could flash the stock map back on with ecutek then install the openflash. Not sure why you'd do that now that ecutek offers oft-equivalent tuning for free.

To be fair, for many customers, there is more to the OFT than just the tune-ability. Handheld convenience and not needing a laptop for diagnostics, data logging and data graph viewing plays a big role. Resale value is also a pro since it is divorce-able hardware that can be resold with very little to no depreciation.

At the end of the day, there are multiple good options for people. Which is good because different people will way pros and cons differently.

Cheers,
shiv
