Sounds like a maybe. I don't know exactly how restrictive they're planning to be with cars like ours.

I don't know if anyone else ( @MisterSheep ?) was planning to organize a roll-in together, but if not I'd say we should do it like in July where we meet up at Starbucks around 6:50AM or so and leave by 7AM.
yeah mine can be pretty loud but I will drive modestly and not be an ass with my exhaust. I have a bit of experience trying to keep it quiet while in neighborhoods late at night or early in the morning so I can't imagine it really being an issue.... hopefully

I might end up going if I get enough sleep the night before.

Unfortunately I will probably just roll alone because the meet-up Starbucks is further from me than Blackhawk itself, and I already have to wake up at like 0530 to get there before 0800.

Sweet, sounds good.

Unless one of the other guys wants to take point on this I'll post up the details later tonight.

Thinking we meet at the usual Starbucks around 6:40/6:45ish and leave no later than 7am and hopefully that's early enough with the new changes.

Meetup info:

Starbucks: 500 Market Pl, San Ramon, CA 94583
Time: leave by 7AM (I might get there around 6:45AM to order a coffee and have it ready before 7)

C&C is at: 4018 Blackhawk Plaza Cir, Danville, CA 94506 (in case you can't roll in with us)

Thanks for taking the initiative on this one @spike021

I will hopefully be attending this event and if I do recall in their memo if one person of a group breaks any of their rules they will ask the WHOLE group to leave and not return. I expect EVERYONE to be on their best behaviors.

No problem!

Same here.

I'm going to see if I can get clarification on the revised parking lots just in case, but like I said in the other post I think we should be leaving by 7AM sharp this time just in case they do close down more than expected and there's less space, especially since we'll hopefully get spots together.

if you suspect my car to be an issue let me know and I will sit this one out, I don't want to be the guy to get us kicked out... but I will keep it toned down for sure if I go.

Cool seeing the group at the meet today. Though I only recognized @spike021 's car. Can't mistake those Brembos with about 1mm between them and the wheels, lol.

Brought some friends that were new to the area to see the car show, so that's why I didn't go with the group today.

I liked the new format for the meet. Seemed like it was just better managed.

Hahaha! At least my wheels were mostly clean from brake dust this time! Although it's been two weeks so I doubt they're as clean as they were.

Same here. In some ways it seemed the same as the last time I was there, but it also seemed a bit better organized, plus I liked the rules sheet they were handing out; though I bet most people didn't bother reading them.

Glad you had a good time!

Thanks everybody who made it out today! I think leaving Starbucks at 7am worked out well so we could all (hard)park together.

@overlookedx and I had this really interesting conversation with an old owner of a Supra. It all boiled down to the usual "BRZ/FRS doesn't have enough power" conversation. But I was honestly surprised because I thought that'd be a younger person's kind of thing.

The best part of my day was getting to sit in a classic GT40. Chris and I were just walking around and I took a couple photos. The owner was about to leave and winded up offering me a chance to take a seat to see how it felt.

It's always been one of my favorite cars since when I was younger playing Gran Turismo 2

Felt very nice. I didn't want to fiddle with anything but the interior seemed pretty well put-together:

Seats are kinda interesting with what seems like vents. I guess that helps if you don't have a passenger while driving?

Looks like Blackhawk Museum posted an update with a bunch of photos from today (I counted two with us in there, but not the greatest of shots): https://www.facebook.com/BlackhawkMu...40277219347941

5 mustangs were speeding and caught apparently, lol.
