I have to say that the swap to a full black interior has really changed my opinion of the interior of the car. The parts aren't any higher quality, but it just looks so much more refined. Why they decided on that tacky silver and chrome door handles vs this matte black is beyond me.

It's a whole different experience. Seeing yours fully changed over absolutely sealed it for me. In addition to the standard 16" wheels, I am going to run this interior.

Now if we can just get Toyota to make those damn louvers... my setup will be complete.

Understood - but what if (for fuel efficiency for example) I don't want to engage the A/C at all?
Surely it wouldn't be such a big deal to do what some other manufacturers do, and simply stick on a little "use with A/C" label onto the window setting for the vents?

Leave it to the driver to decide what is the best setting to use.

I like it

To me The interior is kind of "prasticy" and looks kind of cheap compared to other cars I have drove. But, I bought the car for fun driving and not to lounge and sleep in it.

You're free to just crank up the heat and wait.

For fuel efficiency you'd want the car defrosted as quickly as possible so you're not sitting idling, your point seems moot to me. You don't drive without being able to see through the windshield, it takes a slightly higher priority than fuel efficiency, much less expensive to run the A/C (intermittently) than crash into something.

Edit: I realize that you're talking about driving around with the defrosters on because fog keeps building up if you shut it off and turning it off and on is annoying.

Kinda like how annoying it is when you get in the shower and have to turn the water on. And then when you're finished, reach down and turn it off...

Just wait until automatic showers become the standard, and this will be how it's perceived.

Edit: All in good fun, I hope that comes across!

In the USA, the standard wheel on both FRS and BRZ is the 17" silver/black setup. Overseas this is an optional upgrade. I just prefer the standard 16" wheel that is offered in other markets, so I plan on getting a set.

Found a post on them here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=10

Size: 16x6.5
Offset: +48
PCD: 100x5
Weight: 7.2 kg/15.87 lbs
Tires: 205/55-16 Yokohama Decibel E70

I also really liked the TRD Tosco's on that red 86 a while back. The 16's look good and would be an awesome OEM import part.

Damn I like the 16' steel wheels better than the stock ones we got!!!!

Probably about $500 cheaper too.

Just test drove one. Getting in and out was a little difficult for me being 6'3 220, but I felt as if the car wanted me to stay in it. Very quick and responsive. This is the car I want.

I like the interior also. I don't really like all the bells and whistles other cars put around the driver. A car is for driving after all, and that is what the FRS is all about.
