I was up till I arrived for the shot and didn't even have a wait in line. No time to fret, next thing I knew I was done. And the nerves about how I'd react were gone.
I've had the fever/chills from a pneumonia vaccine. This one just made me lethargic and achy. Not sure you can predict.

Interesting all the different sides from the 1st one. I had a headache for 15 minutes and it felt like I had a Charlie horse and that was it.

We’ll see round 2...

My experience with the Moderna vax was that shot 1 caused soreness at the injection site and shot 2 left me feeling somewhat crappy for 24 to 36 hours. Honestly, I really don't think there is much cause for concern. There are rare serious side effects. I haven't done the calculations, but I'm pretty sure most of us are already doing a lot of things with much higher risk of really bad outcomes - to most of which we don't give a second thought.

It's like the clotting issues with the JJ and AZ products. Taking birth control pills poses a much larger risk of dangerous (although) different clots than does the vax.

I think it will be fine. Don't worry - Be happy.

Last Friday I drank too much and was hungover all day Saturday. People do this and get concerned about a vaccine.

I’m not saying binge drinking is good, but people kick their own asses all the time and it’s not FDA approved

Just to clarify, I'm not scared of *it*.

I was just trying to say that with the nausea and stuff I was a bit more uncomfortable last night than I initially I expected I'd be for just the first dose. But I also realize it affects everybody differently, especially depending on which manufacturer (I got Pfizer, since I didn't mention it yesterday).

My sister had pretty much 0 side effects from her 2nd Pfizer dose, so it's quite possible I'll go into it expecting a lot and wind up having it be a breeze.

But we'll see.

Final member of my family received his second shot yesterday morning (Moderna). As of last night, sore arm but that was about it.

Cool. I also know 5 people who still have the "fuzzy brain" or chronic wheezing or overall reduced output. You know, after they got it too. Hell, one of my clients keeps beating himself up because he can't "perform" as great as he did pre-covid infection.

Btw, you should be part of that study for reinfection Irace3.0 posted. lol

That's how I understood you. So many things to cause anxiety right now. All rather normal,as it turns out. I have more health side effects from anxiety than anything else right now. It's a different world, though it looks just the same.

I don't have any symptoms, so I don't think I would be of much use in a study. Performing just like I ever have. (Well not like when I was teenager... lol)

As with everyone else, my arm ache is basically gone (maybe around 5% of what it is still lingering) after not quite 48 hours.
