Can you share tunes?

So, my friend and I both have an FRS, he has a tablet with a pop/crackle flash tune. I was wondering since the tablet can only tune for one car if he has the tune on his car and, we remove his car's files and upload mine to download the tune. Will that damage my car?

Yes, snap/crackle/pop tunes (otherwise known as the Rice Krispies tune) will eventually ruin your car. Don't do it.

Not only that you look like an idiot driving around with one of those.

I always wonder why people in tuned cars drive past me and make the car pop/crackle non stop. Like, it's not cool. Maybe I'm just getting old. I appreciate the random odd pop/crackle from a downshift but purposefully tuning it in is just bad for the car.

Looks like I'll be the only one to answer the actual question... No you can't because the tablet won't let you. You can't use one tablet to tune multiple cars until it's flashed back to stock and unmarried. Which means only one of you can be tuned

1: No, the tablet (assuming it is OFT) is locked to 1 car and to unlock the tablet you must revert the original car it is paired with to the stock tune.
2: pop/crackle tunes do a lot of damage to your engine, since they are creating explosions in places they should not be. This can lead to: exhaust valves burning up, cat degradation (and eventual failure), and exhaust component failure(s).

Depends on the tune and the method. Can't share EcuTek tunes. You can share files and upload them with OFT, but you can not use one OFT to tune multiple cars. You have to make sure your CalID's are the same to share a file though.
