Subaru BRZ vs Polaris Slingshot

I was fortunate enough to drive my car back to back with the new Polaris slingshot. The backroad I was on was about a 5-6 mile stretch with a few twist and turns but straight for the most part. I'll be happy to answer any question you may have on this new 3-wheeled "motorcycle." I'll try and keep this thread updated on the first post with all the questions & answers that pop up.
I apologize for the picture quality as it was right before dark when I took them.

trikes are considered cars in california. so you need the same insurance etc.

how was the handling? compared to a twin? lots of roll?
did you sit lower than a twin?
does windshield work? and did it impair vision? looks like its at eye level.
did you wear a helmet while driving it?
would you stick your arm out during a roll-over? lol

It's definitely different, I've never been around anything that has drawn so much attention in my life. The BRZ gets questions at the occasional gas station. This thing... It gets swarmed all day with pictures by everyone who sees it.

I am not sure the California laws with this thing, seems to fall in a grey area state to state.

Handling: The slingshot had a lot of feel to it. It was much stiffer all the way around. Everything felt very tight. It had little roll unless you were really hammering into a corner. The steering was stiff, the clutch and throttle was stiff. The short throw shifter was buttery smooth. I don't mean stiff in a bad sense, more of just complete opposite of the BRZ. For example: the throttle was instant, short and very tight engagement on the clutch. BRZ... I find myself blipping the throttle before taking off because the first 20% of the thorttle is so soft. On the bumpy missouri back road you felt a lot more than you wanted to. On a highway or smooth road it isn't bad at all. For the average person, if you blindfolded them, stuck them in it, had them take it for a drive. They would not know it had 3 wheels.
(I'll go more in depth upon request, it may not make sense to certain people and I can try to explain better.)

Lower than the twin? I do feel that I was sitting lower than the twin. Looking onto the hood literally feels like your driving a bat-mobile.

Windshield: The windshield worked great, you look slightly over it. When cresting a hill you look through it a little but it's not too bad. You don't get a lot of turbulence from the air, it kicks it over pretty well.

Helmet: 100 without, 120mph with a basic 3/4 helmet. You sit pretty low in it with the sides coming up not very far. It is very open on the sides.. With a low speed roll over I think you'd be good, high speed.. not so much.

Slingshot to a BRZ, not... Maybe to a Can Am Spyder...but the problem is it's made by Polaris, that equals JUNK...

That Slingshot needs a 4th wheel for an "apple-to-apple" comparison. Lol

Polaris decidedly made it 3 wheel to prevent classification as a car and the entailing safety standards. I would love to find a place to rent one of these for the weekend.
