After driving the car for a week with the OFT, I realized that I needed to mount it somewhere.

A few of the requirements were:
- Looks clean
- 100% removable
- Retain use of air vent
- Keeps the OBD2 cable away from my feet.

I decided to order an OBD2 cable extension to remove some of the stress on the factory plug. This one so happens to the plugs mounted at 90*.
[ame="http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00GGLVXG2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailp age_o00_s00"]Low Profile Right or Left Angle OBD 2 II Extension with Flat Ribbon Cable 1'/30cm CAN Bus Compatible: Amazon.ca: Automotive[/ame]

1. I routed the extension cable under the steering column and plugged it into the OFT cable. There is more than enough room to leave the plug and extra cable between the steering column and the lower dash (provided to don't adjust your steering wheel to the fully down position)

2. Next I tucked the OFT cable around the top of the steering column like so.

3. I went to Canadian tire and purchased a Scosche 'Magic Mount' and secured it to the small window on the drivers side door and the included magnet (larger one) to the back of the OFT.

Here is the end result.

It not perfect, but it works well. I can disconnect the OFT end of the cable and open the door normally and I still have access to the vent. I wish that I could angle the OFT a bit more towards the driver and I would like to find a better way to route the OBD2 cable so that it is hidden but that's a project for another day.

Can you open the door and exit without disconnecting the cable? Is cable length the only issue? I've been on the fence about getting something similar for my phone to mount in the same location, but wasn't sure if I would be constantly hitting the mount getting in and out.....

Unfortunately it's not quiet long enough to open the door. I just have to pull it off the mount (it's magnetic so it's not a huge deal) and lay it on the dash, or unplug it from the oft. There is a longer cable that you can get. I believe it's roughly 6ft long.

A few things have changed with the FR-S in preparation for the spring. I picked up some SPC LCA's from @fteightysix during one of their awesome 'Slam' deals.

Also a new vendor opened up here in Ontario, and I thought I would give them a shot. I ordered a Grimmspeed master cylinder brace and took advantage of a black Friday sale they were having and picked up a Borla UEL. @ft86motorsports was very accommodating when it came down to shipping the header. I was going to be out of town for a week and didn't want it to sit on my front step. They waited to ship it until I knew found out what day I would be home and shipped it the day before.

I have heard that some people were having issues with their Borla headers. Some reported having warped flanges, bad welds and collectors that look like a kid put together. So the first thing I did when mine came is the mail is look at all of those areas. The flanges are perfectly flat on my header, and while the welds aren't super pretty, they look solid. The collector in my opinion is on par or slightly better than what I have seen on some OEM headers.

Collector shot (not the prettiest but I knew that when I was buying it)

Sorry about the blackberry pictures. I cant find my memory card for my DSLR
