I'm 6'9" and I'm hoping to God that I will fit in my BRZ when I get it. I suppose a test drive is in order.

The trick is to raise the backrest to a more upright position to give you a few more inches of room to slide the seat back. This is also a better driving position than the low rider gangsta look with the backrest in the lying down position |

It's pretty easy to demonstrate the advantages outside of the car of this position. Hold a decently weighted steering wheel size object in front of you with your arms fully extended. Rotate left and right while you arms are the extended. Repeat the same exercise but this time break your elbows to about halfway from your fully extended position. You should feel both how much easier it is to manipulate the object, and how much more control you have over it. For the legs, you should be able to push the pedals to the floor without locking your knees. It not only gives you more control, but it is significantly safer incase you get in an accident as well as it will allow your legs to bend and deflect with the impact, instead of being rigid. For the backrest, I was merely saying that with your shoulders pressed into it, your wrist should break along the top of the wheel. You don't need to drive around with your back pushed into it, it is merely a reference point for proper arm distancing. That said, any type of "gangsta lean" backrest position is very counterproductive. A similar trick is how one adjusts their mirrors to watch the blindspots of the car, instead of having 3 rearward facing mirrors. To adjust the right side mirror, you lean into the center of the car and adjust the mirror as if you were setting it up for a normal driving position. Repeat the process with the left mirror by centering your head in the open left side window. When you return your head to the neutral position your mirrors should now be aimed into your blind spots. You don't need to drive down the road with your head in the middle. |

6'5" here. Seat fully aft, fully lowered with the "ratchet" adjuster on the stock seat, slight tip back. PERFECT driving position.

I found this car to be staggeringly accommodating for the tall driver, especially for Japan. When I test drove the FR-S I had 4 other friends over 6 foot cycle through it. Not one had a problem fitting. |

I fit fine in the car normally. However, I am worried about helmet clearance. O well, it is not going to stop me from getting one eventually.

I am 6'5" and pretty damn broad shouldered and I fit okay. Once I put in the new Status seat I fit like a glove, though I'll never be able to run Harnesses.

6"5, 250 lbs and was amazed at how much front room I had, including my head. I'm pretty even legs to torso.

1.88 metres and bulky here, the car fits great! didn't even have to pull the seat back to max for a comfortable fit.

6'4", and other than having to be careful that I don't drill my right knee into the center console when getting in, I fit quite well in my BRZ.
My only fitment gripe is not being able to move the seat back another inch or so. I'd prefer a bit more support under my thighs to reduce the amount of sitting pressure on my butt, and moving the seat back a tad would flatten the bend in my knee. The hardness of the seat wreaks havoc on the sciatic nerve of my left leg on drives over an hour.

I just measured myself. 40" from the heel of my shoe to my hip joint. When I am seated it's another 4" from my hip joint to the back of my ass.
Are these normal measurements?
