Oh, and there are lots of better roads if you go exploring in North Carolina and Georgia.

i've tried a few other roads. i enjoy the tight technical aspect of tail of the dragon the most. tried the cherohala skyway this time, it seemed like a nice place to buy a house, but 4-5th gear cruising isn't my idea of fun.

i'll sometimes get 'lost' in the area, as a ton of the barely-roads are more interesting than the public routes.

i grew up without anything but antenna tv. with so many people 'cutting the cord' now, it's less fun to screw with the directtv salespeople. up until the last few years, telling them that i didn't have cable or satellite for tv, they'd always get that confused look puppies get when they're trying to figure something new out.

my parents had cable, apparently right before i was born. at least they taunt me that way. they said they stopped paying for it when it had commercials. apparently there was a time where it was like siriusxm where paying meant commercial-free.

funny how now siriusxm now has commercials. and now the amazon prime i watch to avoid commercials is starting to have commercials...

it'd be moronic to sell a car over a forum. i've poured millions of words into forums that no longer exist... mp3car used to be a forum. so did eclipseforums.org. and hidplanet, i re-wrote a large swath of the led how-to section... all gone, even difficult to search for. forums are here only as long as someone's hosting it.

i'm learning that the best part of getting older is watching other younger people make the same mistakes, and knowing that they'll never listen to me anyways.

my younger sister and her husband just bought their first house. a little rough, mostly needs a good cleaning and some paint at a minimum, but good base at least.

last i heard, their official time table was that they were going to move in after 3 weeks. during those 3 weeks, they are going to:

strip down to the studs and remodel a bathroom
clean all the walls
replace all the trim
paint
remodel the kitchen
gut the finished basement
re-landscape the back yard(overgrown trees, and a huge garden they already admit to not having time for)
add can lights throughout
re-frame the garage and install a new door/opener so it opens into the alley instead of the driveway
re-frame a bedroom wall they feel is excessive to make the area larger.


i was just there tonight for a little, helping take down one of the trees in the back yard. i told them i was just going to do it, they decided to show up to help. they haven't been there for 2 days.

but they're going to get all of this done in 3 weeks.

Ah, gotcha! I'm not sure on size though. I just always found the F22 to be so cool lol.
