FRS CLUTCH SWAP ISSUE

I swapped my clutch on my Scion FRS 2013 and everything went on fine and seems to be working after it was put back together and then the issue arose when getting into gear. The first gear makes the car go into reverse and it won't go into second gear but will go into 3,4,5,6. The car is not fully put back together for this reason but does anyone know how to make it so that the car will register first and second gear cause the reverse lever isn't being used and it won't allow it to go into first or second.
THANKS for the help

You're missing the lockout plate

I have that plate and thought initially that was the issue but it wasn’t cause even with the plate there the first gear makes the car go reverse, which is why I’m really confused.

It is not possible for 1st to make the car go into reverse. You need to adjust the plate.
