Exclamation Do we have a 12 volt in our cars?? / Hyper flash?

Subject says it all haha!
Cant find a 12v for the life of me!
Also unable to figure out why the left side turn signal stops working randomly and comes back in its own time.
Software bug?
2022 BRZ and love the car so far! The Pilot Sport 4s are definitely not for the snow!

+1 ^^^

Especially with it being intermittent, take some video of it at both ends while it's happening. One end will be dead. The other will be hyperflashing. Show it to the service people when you take it in.

i had hyperflash occur once in the car. turned if off then on again and hasnt come back.

more common is activating L or R turn signal and it does one quick blink then settles into the normal cadence of flashing. not sure why it happens. turn car off and on, it goes away.

I got a video of the hyperflash issue, posted it in the "issues for early adopters thread." Feel to use for showing dealers and whatnot.

Could this maybe be that one setting on the car settings menu for 1 touch lane change? I have not turned it on yet so not sure what it does lol.

I encountered the hyperflash on a road trip this weekend and with 300+ miles of highway driving and lane changes I was able to figure out what is going on.

The first time I got it, I was surprised as I had never experienced it in the previous weeks of ownership. This led me to pay more attention to what was going on when it happened and how I operated the turn signals at the time.

What I found on my car was when I simply gave the blinker stalk a quick flick like I did in my BMW for lane changes the hyperflash did NOT happen.

When I held the blinker stalk in one position somewhere between center and far end of the stalk travel (i.e. what many probably do when doing a lane change on a traditional blinker set up) I got all sorts of strange, erratic blinker behavior. I also noticed if I pushed the stalk too slowly when going for the full travel (i.e. sitting at a light to make a turn) it would also go a little goofy and then settle down.

My solution? Use the blinkers exactly like I did in my F32 BMW and all the erratic, hyperflash behavior went away. It seems to be a bit of a learning curve to get the blinkers to work properly. Moreso because the Subaru set up seems to be much less forgiving than BMW's.
