My rates with Progressive were basically that of a 16 yr old male despite no wrecks in recent history or speeding tickets and being double that age. So I decided to shop around and got a stupid low quote from Geico.

That’s crazy. My rates everywhere where high except for progressive so I switched to them.

Yeah I got my invoice for next month. They wanted $302! The last year was $251/mo. Now it's $90 through Geico. O_o

Regardless, for there to be THAT much of a difference is mind boggling. The good news is, I can afford a much nicer apartment or better yet... MODS!!!

or, you know, the adult thing, save for retirement...

i'm only half adult. i put part of extra money towards rainy-day/retirement, and the other part i blow on fun stuff. i can't say it's 'half' because it rarely is.

I need practice on the fun stuff part. Too much thinking about whether it will be a worth it, not enough doing to find out.

Eww. I will pay more rather than ever have Geico or Progressive "insure" me. The way they treat their customers is horrible. The way they treat people their customers hit should be illegal. Fortunately my insurance company took care of collecting/abrogation etc...
If I'm ever at fault, no way do I want to treat whomever I messed up that badly.

Damn do I feel lucky. Three vehicles, full coverage, $500/$100 deductibles, "Highest in the Nation" Michigan rates, for only $944 every 6 mo. or ~$52 a mo. per vehicle.

I've never had a problem on either side of Geico. Then again, I haven't hit anything.

You're on the right track. The value is in learning why it isn't worth it. Cusco diff collars helped me root out the bigger offenders my search for controlling wheel hop.

Lol it's an insurance company for one and it's not a nonprofit savior. Either way, progressive came in clutch for me the 2 times I needed them. So yeah, other than preposterous rates, they aren't bad.

Today I was going to work on the knife… but change of plan & start making custom mudflaps for the Highlander. I’ve found out, no brand make aftermarket mudflaps for the new gen Highlander, so I gotta make my own…

For the mudflaps, I’ve cut out the cardboard into the shape of mudflaps (Rally Armor universal fit) & aligning all the holes into it.

Front mudflaps looks fine w 12”x15”… but rear looks weird…

They’re both have ground clearance of 5.5”… but visually near looks lower than the fronts. To resolve this issue, I’ve ordered 12”x19” to see if it looks better for the rear. I’ll find out later.

As for the brackets, I had a spare aluminum sheet which not been used for anything, so using that to make the brackets. Cut up the cardboard again & designed the brackets.

Front brackets looks good… but the rear, I’ve overthink & made it complicated than it need to be. I’ll be redesigning to making it simple “H” shape instead.
