I've been curious, how many people here are going to change their spark plugs at 60k?

Very few who would even do it at exactly 60 months?

I will, but I have been described as, "brave and foolhardy," in the past.

Still, can't be worse than a timing belt on a VW TDI.

Do you have to remove the motor on your VW to replace the timing belt?
You do to change the sparkplugs on an FRS.

Its about the same level of difficulty (note: BEFORE messing with timing) - timing belt on the VW requires removing the passenger side engine mount (and a decent amount of the post-turbo intake piping) and supporting the engine.

From what I've heard, the spark plugs on the '86 require the engine to be raised and removal of at the very least the headers.

So, anyone who's going to do this, make sure you have replacement engine mount bolts and header gaskets on hand.
