Quick update for the thirsty ones lol ..

We are in the process of having a shifter adapter made, getting the manifold mocked up,
Oh and working out a drive by wire solution....

Side note to answer a few questions: Sorry no 1jz stuff yet, vvti will be possible, but we have a finite amount of inputs and outputs and vvti will eat up 2 more of them.

You have to redo the fuel system into a return type correct? How difficult is this on our cars?

depends on how much power you want to make. you do not need to if you keep it relatively stock. the return system would consist of an in tank regulator delete, a 1:1 regulator in the engine bay, then a return line back to the tank with a bulkhead fitting into the canister

Curious about the cost of this swap so far, is it still within expectations? i.e. is the final product to come of this still considered a "budget swap"?

Im sure the cost can differ wildly depending on what you do with the engine. If you keep the stock turbos and sell your fa20, it would probably be pretty reasonable. But a lot of people wouldn't go through the work of an engine swap without also getting crazy power with a built motor and single turbo setup, which would add several thousands to the cost.

Yea obviously, but I assumed as this thread is titled "Budget 2JZ Swap" that the customer had some rough figure in mind and Pure had some sort of plan or hopeful estimate.

Basically wondering if there have been unforeseen challenges that kinda kills the "Budget" part of this specific swap.

I'll tell you one thing for sure, the wiring thing is the most expensive and cumbersome.

so for the stand alone, what system are you guys running with? I've heard haltech is coming out with something that'll be able to run all sorts of canbus with the new box. Motec is another system that works but the price isn't that obtainable to most customers. really interested in the intake manifold/ fuel rail and harness, are you guys doing a group buy and such when it'll be released? another question, for the exhaust manifold, will you guys be designing one to market? if so, any interests for a divided setup? have a borgwarner s472 laying around for the project

If Haltech follows through, you can guarantee it will cost almost as much as Motec M1 series because they are very similar.

The Intake manifold is being designed as we speak, and will 100% be a group buy when it's confirmed and finished.

Most Exhaust manifolds will work as long as they don't put the turbo far away from the engine. I have a Powerhouse Racing on my car and this car has a knockoff.
