Does anyone know of any affordable places for automotive painting in the Twin Cities? I need my Celica painted. I was going to just have Maaco do it for $1,000. I've been advised against doing that, but i don't want to pay an arm and leg for paint. Anyone know anywhere reasonable? I'll likely buy the paint myself and would only need someone to prep and spray.

I thought the rear diffuser was the one that lowers the drag and not the actual underbody panels....?

I got my paint job done at Maaco in Little Canada, I got the so-called extra protection package which wont cause the paint to fade in a very long time on my Impreza for $500 for full exterior. Its been 7 months now and the car still looks like the day I picked it up from the lot with the exception of one half sized penny chip off from my hood which I dont know how it happened.

the jdm brz is rated at 0.27cd, and it comes with the underpanels and the wing. the rear diffuser isn't a factory installed part.

Thank you-- until now i hadn't heard any kind of review of their work, just people saying to avoid it without substantiation.

Oh yeah, Maaco also have a $250-ish dollar crappy paint job for full exterior. My cousin has it done on her car but I havent look at it yet so I cant tell if its good quality or not. Im going to her house tonight so ill let you know afterwards.

Well you know, it feels like winter is coming and yesterday I saw rain that has been converted to snow but fortunately the roads werent frozen so today I took the BRZ out for a drive and we went on a nice date. I will be parking it for the winter, it is not my driving that im worried about, it is those other drivers who im worried about.

I have an Impreza 5spd and a civic for winter so im 100%. I now have an FF, FR and AWD car. Next goal is to get a house and get an MR.

You got mail.

I always figure there is a chance of a nice day through November. That said, I really need to get my snow tires mounted and balanced so they'll be ready.
