OFT Keep plugged in without killing battery?
My OFT Tablet I leave plugged into my BRZ but it seems if I don't start it for 24-48 hours it will kill my entire battery.
Is there anyway to make it timeout after X amount of hours? |

Someone could make a small amount of money creating cables with an on/off switch.

Sorry for the bump, just wanted to know if leaving the OFT ecu cable plugged in still draws from your battery- just the cable, tablet is unplugged from it
Trying to narrow down possible causes for almost being unable to start my car today (took about 4-5 cranks) which I suspect is from the battery being close to drained- Granted I was in accessory mode with the radio/ heater/ lights on but regardless I was only in it for 10-15minutes before trying to leave and facing that issue which I doubt is normal. So either my battery is due for replacing, or having the oft cable by itself is still drawing power and has dwindled away my battery over the past few weeks |

You have 3 solutions. Use the adapter that has a power switch, unplug each time, get a battery big enough where it has a lot of excess power.
I went with an OBD2 adapter with a switch purchased from Jeff Bezos

So you're saying the cable plugged in by itself (no OFT tablet connected to it) does infact still draw power?

Just get this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's self explanatory You switch it off, it gets no power. So no power draw while off.

Why do you leave your OFT in all the time? Seems pretty pointless.

I understand doing that on occasion or when making a change, but all the time
