Short shifter

Looking to get a short shifter and bushing for my FRS. Rn I’m looking at the Megan Racing and Torque Solutions. Any experience with any of them. Megan racing one is super cheap so mainly trying to find info on it. Doesn’t really need to be top of the line super short and notchy. Mine is starting to rattle from the washer so I thought while I was at it I would upgrade.

Sadly, it seems almost all short shifter will rattle. The JDM STI include the shifter and seems to work great but of course it's relatively expensive.

I personnaly decided to not put a short shifter in my 2015 Fr-s. All I did is installing a shifter bushing from Perrin and Positive shifter kit from Whiteline.

"Rattle from the washer" - ??

It appears to me that the short shifters just cause problems.

“so I thought while I was at it I would upgrade.” I’m struggling to comprehend what your goal is here.

If you want cheap, just get the TRD. You can usually find it pretty cheap on Ebay, Amazon, or other websites. It simply changes to linkage and does not rattle. Just make sure you use some Loctite.

I have the torque solutions short shifter and like it. It does rattle. If you are not going to put up with some rattle don’t buy a short shifter, for that matter you should not buy an 86.

Try the m-tec springs and get a heavier shift knob
