Autopower U-WELD Roll Cage Pictures - 33783

Looking for fully welded and installed Autopower U-WELD model pictures.
Part no 33783

I searched all over the forums and facebook to find the following which do not show the front bar that is supposed to go "in front of stock dash" according to the product info.

FYI: The product photo has incorrect floor plate mounting points. The roll hood plates are supposed to go on the rear seat area as all links below show. Autopower rep said it is a "stock photo".

Doesn't' look like the full BRZ/FRS cage has the horizontal dash bar.

I saw that one but that is the BOLT-IN kit.

Autopower rep says if the stock dash is installed, they do not recommend to weld in that bar. I prefer to weld it in and make cutouts in the dash to make it all work.

Weld-in, bolt-in, the fit is about the same. Sounds like you are going to have to find out. Good luck

Working with this kit "U-WELD" kit so far for 3-4 hours, I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Why they did not notch or cut to size any of the tubes is beyond me. You literally cannot fit the A pillar bar in, you need to keep cutting and hope that you didnt cut too much. Highly disappointed for the price paid for it.

I am looking into cagekits.com front section to cut down on the time since they come in notched and the roll bar is in the same location as the Autopower.

Just spend another 700-800 and get the cagekits.com kit to save you a lot of time and aggravation.

Should have just had a builder do it. If you are talking another 7-800 over autopower from cage kits. Not that far off what I was quoted by a builder.

I wanted to do it myself since I am a decent welder. I contacted reputable builders in NJ and PA. Earliest available in my region was late April and quotes were around 4500 including the material.

Dang that's very inexpensive, I'm jealous. My car has the rear half of a cage in, but it was designed for door bars and the remainder of the front half to be added later, and I'm getting quotes of 5k+ to finish it around here

Looking back in my emails that was just before 2020. I thought it was more recent than that. Doesn't feel like 3 years ago.
