Some more detailed photos. Weather is not cooperating for a proper outdoor shoot; even with the rain guards.

Rain guards installed

Check out my install photos in my build thread. It's not too bad once you get the hang of it.

I thought about that too but it's not worth it to have to store your vented hood and get assistance from two people every time you want to swap it on. You're better off just sucking it up and installing them on your existing hood with the rain guards. It's not a big deal; your perfectly good hood will just become a perfectly good vented hood.

Khurram,

Install looks really nice! I'm digging the look of two outside louvers only! And that color.

I'd like to take this time to do a PSA as this is the 2nd install I've seen like this and I just want the end users to be happy with the look. This is noted in the install instruction, but who reads those ?

The nuts we chose are stainless steel serrated units. The serrated feature resists backing off once tightened, thus they do not need tightened significantly. An 8-32 stud should not be tightened significantly anyway.

Hand tight + ~1/8 turn seems to do the trick as far as not deforming the hood and having sufficient resistance to keep the nut from backing off. I'm a perfectionist and just want all you guys to have nice installs as well ^_^.

Thanks,
Eric

PSA: You only to to make the nuts hand tight. Otherwise you will pull the clinch bolts down through the vent. The nuts are serrated and will not back out. Take it down a notch and only use your fingers please.
