After I ate i was going to go 84 to 1 and try to hook back up with you guys in Pescadero. However, after you left, some bike race started going by and down 84. There was so many bikes it made 84 impossible. I just went home.

Thanks to everybody who came out today! We had a great turnout with 11 twins + @Sapphireho's Exige for the Skyline run up to Alice's and then tookover Pescadero:

Unfortunately I'm terrible with names, but hopefully the driver of the Hot Lava in the earlier photo comments here. He was passing us on Pescadero Creek Rd. and decided to swing back around to meet up with us in town. Always fun to meet new faces!

If you didn't get a chance to make it out to today's drive, we'll likely be doing more of these this summer, so keep an eye on this thread!

Noticed the bicycles and traffic control on the way up turning onto 84 from Pescadero Creek, as well as a special vehicle for following them I think?

It wasn't the greatest drive going down to the town due to a couple slow cars, but going back up was nice. At least up till we passed by an S2000 and Camaro racing back down about a half mile or so up from a bunch of cyclists...

Good turnout. Sorry I didn't continue with you guys from Alice's, but I needed some food and coffee.

There were so many bikes, and they were coming South on skyline then doing the corner down 84 right behind where my car was parked, and these guys were going fast. I had to have people help me when there was a couple second break in bikes to quickly back out and out of the way. I was afraid I was going to get t-boned by bikes.

So are all the good roads over in the bay area? I moved from socal close enough to ach, and Malibu, and gmr, and now I'm in the greater Sacramento area. Took me several hours to get to mt Hamilton requiring all day and was hoping for something more accessible up here

You can try Salmon Falls Road. Check out some YT videos (I'm sure there should be some) to see if you would like it. I did that road once a looooong time ago. More of a leisure drive and corner carving.

There's actually quite a few good roads out here in our neck of the woods, all about 45 mins from Sac. Salmon falls is a good one nearby as Lazagna mentioned. I usually like to toss in 49 between Auburn and Placerville to make a little loop, but if you care to venture further east, there are a ton of other roads as you get closer to the foot hills. Some of these roads...dare I say... are better than the ones in the bay

Anyone drive on 130? I'm thinking about driving down there and taking it to Mines Road and turn back around (rather not drive on Mines Road). Would be a 100-mile round trip for me...just to waste the gas in the FR-S (it's gas from filling up back in February!).

It's ok if you are just cruising and not on "maximum attack". I took it on the way back from SKO and it has some gnarly parts, but nothing worse than the rest of mines, just be on the look out for pot holes, specially on the way back (east bound). There is a very nice section that looked to have been recently paved.

Eh, if it's rough, I'd rather not. I want to enjoy cruising around instead of having to watch out for bad pot holes.

Fun drive! The more relaxed pace most of the way suited me just fine. With so many cyclists out there this weekend, any faster would have been potentially sketchy. Even as it was I saw a few cyclists motion for us to slow down, I'm sure from their (slower, more vulnerable) perspective we were psychopathic hooligans hellbent on massacreing them like bowling pins.
