I haven't had time to install them yet it probably won't be for a while since I haven't had time to get under the car. My TOB has started squeaking, probably because the one supplied with the Southbend kit wasn't the updated one. I'll probably install the bushing and springs when I drop the trans to replace it. Might as well go to a stage 3 clutch while I'm down there

Been a while since I updated this thread, here's what happened the last 60 days
- Wastegate bolt backed out, probably my fault for not putting locktite or locking washers on when I installed it. Took that time to upgrade to a Turbosmart Hypergate 45. Fixed my boost creep issue

- replaced oil cooler lines with stainless steel braided lines and routed them through the "mustache" instead of behind the intercooler.

- mostly fixed the bumper gap. Quick releases on the way that should get it back to 100%

- Swapped the quiet Perrin exhaust with a 2.5" Dezod. a Supercharged BRZ driver decided his car was too loud with it.

- cut out the passenger fog light housing entirely and replaced it with steel mesh that was painted black. Oil temps are perfect now. It used to get to ~220 when running backroads in north Dallas but now they never exceed 208.

-Next track day is the MSR Cresson 3.1 big track in October and November!

Great build man happy for you. If you ever decide on the southbend stage 3 clutch keep us posted on how it feels.

I am planning to be there both weekends with The Drivers Edge, maybe I can ask Rick to be your instructor one weekend.

It'll happen eventually. I'm only getting slip in 5/6 gear so not a big deal but will def need to change it before my next track day. Until then, I'm tracking the shit out of the Miata.

MORE UPDATES!
After I got the car back from my tuner, i only got to drive it for 2 days before someone sideswiped me on the highway. I'm picking it up from the body shop on Friday.
I ordered the ACT SB7-HDSS clutch kit. Should fix my slippage problem in 5/6 gear with the Southbend kit.

Also I went to a track day in the super stock Miata while the BRZ was out of commission.
Look at that LEEAAAAAN. tracking on 27 year old suspension and all season tires is always fun.

I've considered the Trackspec hood vents and I see their truck in the area I work in, but I don't know if showing up to the office in a car with hood vents is the best haha

Why wouldn't it be good? I havent had any issues with them, even with heavy rains

I think they are referring to the potential juvenile look of having a car with aftermarket hood vents.

Ah, that makes sense. My car has been mostly function > form so far. The hood vents were primarily for heat extraction above all else.

If you're trying to not look juvenile, you're in the wrong car.

Not so much juvenile, leaning more towards subtle. I may pick up another hood that a guy near my is selling and have the trackspec vents put in that hood. Subtle is good in Socal right now
