You do realize that +35 in the rear simply doesn't fit with 245/255 tires on gen2 cars?

Interested in a set if they see a wider release, not into having hard to replace wheels for track use.

Probably considering the offset of the new TS-5 Titan to be released.

Wouldn't a higher positive offset make the wheel/tire closer to the spring? And as the gen1, 17x9 +35 245 are the closest you can get on stock suspension?

And I realize if it doesn't fit,it doesn't fit. But no need to act like it's a secret and only the special few (10? LMAO) that order it will have the advantage at the track.

This was really my point, it'll be common knowledge at some point.

Higher numerical offset (e.g. +45) = tucked in
Lower numerical offset (e.g. +35) = more poke
"Offset" is the dumbest spec/name ever, but it is what it is.
I like that the Owner's Manual calls it inset (which makes a lot more sense), "also known as offset", or something like that.

If fitment / geometry of the fender wasn't an issue, +35 would be better than +45 (or anything numerically higher than +35) on track due to larger track width. Larger track width = more grip.
The advantage here is not really directly in performance, but in the ability to fit the same desired 245 or 255 wide tire with less effort (e.g. RLCAs vs RUCAs vs "no way it will fit").
You can't go fast in a car that can't go

I agree it's "stupid" that the offset is not openly specified yet, but that's also what many other wheel companies that I contacted are doing.
I 100% expect WedsSports to eventually turn it into a "regular" model, given that gen2's are going to be very popular in Japan, and elsewhere.
Perhaps they just want to start with a limited run to see what real customers do with those wheels (e.g. end up running spacers anyways, or want even higher inset, like I might need to do with the wheels I'm waiting for) before starting large scale production for a final spec.

Thanks for the explanation, I'm pretty familiar with offset. And I have +35 TC105Ns so that's why I'm here.
I guess I was just confused why +35 on 2nd gen wouldn't fit, but I guess you're saying it's Not the spacing to the strut, but because of the rear fender clearance on 2nd gen?
Anyways, mine are 245. I'll probably test fit them on a 2nd gen when/if I get one, but I'm sure this will all be solved by then and I'll just be late to the party.
I don't like running spacers

Not too bad for the rear. The fronts will need spacers. It's a shame wheel manufacturers don't offer two different offsets to resolve this. In Australia, wheel spacers are illegal so people need to drive illegal cars around in order to get good fitment.

Huh? They are offering two different offsets. 35+ and 4x+. A lot of wheel manufacturers offer multiple offsets for a given wheel design.

Ah yes I can see they already offer +35. That's good. It'd be a bit odd having the deep taper "MR" face on the front and the flat "F" face on the rear but it's something. Personally I think 11mm offset difference between front and rear is too much but I guess it's better than nothing.

Apec EC-7R, ARC-8 and Enkei RPF1 are the only ones in 17x9 5x100 in offsets suitable for the 86/BRZ that I know of.

The new Titan TS-5, is 18x9 ET47. They are available for preorder with an expected delivery date in August.
