They for sure will do a 10th anniversary edition because of course they will, but it’ll be nothing to wait for. It’ll likely be a popular options special with a unique color, badge, graphics or some carbon fiber accents or something from the factory parts catalog.

With Toyota's plan of "something new every model year" that they're doing with the Supra, I wouldn't be surprised if a 10th anniversary special edition will happen. As most folks here, I agree it would probably be just a special exterior color, some interior touches and maybe some accessories included.

If Toyota did make one, wouldn't it be excluded from the US as the car never sold for 10 years under the Toyota brand?

It will be marketed as the 4/6 Edition in the US. 4 yrs Scion, 6 yrs Toyota As a throwback to longtime fans they will add a special software package that plays cricket sounds. And also remove the center arm rest.

But to be serious, I don’t think Toyota will have any pushback if they release a 10 yr Anniversary model in the US. Scion was Toyota, and nobody but twins nerds will care. I for one would love to see it happen. If they throw some performance parts in there, it would be awesome. My plan is to buy a GR86 or BRZ in the Fall.

Yep.

That's why I decided to wait until 2023MY, but I hope I'm even able to get one. Hard enough getting any new car lately.

What does the fact that it's 1 year after the generation launch have to do with the 10th anniversary though?

I have no idea why the idea of a 10 year special edition seems to be so confusing to so many.
There has been a special edition every single model year including 2013.

People didn’t forget, they just don’t know you work for a Toyota dealer (edit: not corporate) in Canada.

People forget a lot of things here. Best to move on and let them have the last laugh.

I remember when corporate Subaru trainers confirmed to me the BRZ tS was coming and I mentioned it but nobody believed me. Then a few weeks later the spy shot was leaked.

The OP's track record for getting the allotment locations has been impeccable so I don't doubt him for a second.

On the other hand I have talked to many Toyota and Subaru dealers and the knowledge on what is coming for these cars has ranged from "don't know and don't care. Won't even stock the damn things if I have my way" (sales manager local Toyota dealership) to " There will be a turbo BRZ convertible for 2017 I 100% guarantee it since I have seen it in person" (OWNER of the local Subaru dealership).

There have also been so, so many fake "insider" reports on here over the years that reality can get lost in the fog.
