They're smart and will probably offer it on later years to keep interest.
I wonder how soon will a special edition be release and what will it offer?

On the Toyota/SCION side, the 10 Series was part of the latter initial 2013 MY and the Monogram right after that in January 2014 (both with parts raided from the premium versions), Release 1.0 towards release at the end of the 2014 MY (with TRD parts) and the Release 2.0 in Oct 2015.

I wonder how the 86 fits in with Akio Toyoda's vision to have a hybrid version of every car in the 2025 line up?

This car will be gone by then. Can't wait to buy one... If you can buy one . But two or three years and its gone. Get it while you can.

I think it may be realistic of them to offer a final send away Edition(when the time comes) with ITB's w/manifold setup and ecu tuning with revised exhaust manifolds. To go all in on the NA setup they always wanted it to have. This solidify it as the "drivers" car while the Supra so far is more the grand tourer. Until they offer a manual which they will. They are just pulling the Nissan GTR trick with Supra. Keep raising the price with little add-ons they already proved with R&D by building up the waiting game. GTR came out at what price??!

Like this, but without the Cragars, lol.

Can vouch for friends supra these work and are attached with a 3m tape usually, alot of side brands have them, immediately gets rid of buffeting

There's already quite a small gap between the new model's ~220hp and the 2.0L Supra's ~250hp. They may want to keep the gap clear.

People will beg and beg for a turbo but then not buy it when it comes out when the price goes up then the car dies.

Has happened for ages with the Japanese sports cars, quite frankly, the car should stay NA to make it affordable

Factory warranty. Sure why not. My 04 WRX is 18 years old and running just fine at stage 2 mods for over 90k miles.

For $35,000? That's not bad if the boost brings it around supra range.

The reality is it won't get enough people to justify it.

I highly doubt it'd ever even be close to 35k when the premium models price is going to hover around 31.5. I'd surmise it would be 40k

In terms of waiting to purchase a second gen twin until the bugs get sorted out. Compared to Toyota/Subaru (mostly Toyota) I think that waiting would be more of a concern with Nissan's new Z and Chevrolet's mid engine Corvette (as both companies are known for their less than stellar quality control).
